Audiophile Ethernet Switch does not do anything. It does not improve the sound at all.

In other words, you might not need it but you will be happy if you get it. You’re a good man Alvin 👍🏼

You're wasting your time and money with this device. Once the audio data is buffered in the streaming device or PC it makes no difference how it was delivered. It's either error free or not. There is no grey area here ! A linear power supply won't make any difference either. You're barking up the wrong tree here.

Sincere explanation here Alvin :) I, myself is an Electronics and Comms Engineer by profession that focuses more on the network now and loves to listen to good music...but every time I am asked if these audiophile-grade switches really play a role in improving sound quality is all BS to me :P But as you have said, it does not matter if it provides improvements or not...I still recommend it because it looks good for our setup :P

Thanks for your honest review. They do make an audible difference, to what degree that will depend on your downline components.

Alvin is knowledgeable and honest, no BS 👍

You guys are getting rather extreme with the cost of these devices, which cost more than my beloved everSOLO DMP-A6, it isn’t going to happen…..

That is why I like it when actual engineers review products in their workshop, rather than marketing men in their suits who would not know the difference between a diode and a capacitor if they were hit in the face by them! :)

Could you please let us know whether you have heard the difference in sound quality with this switch? Unlike those aggressive US salesmen, you seem like a decent, honest, and modest guy, so please tell us if you hear a difference in sound at all?

I bought a used Dlink DGS-108 . for now. As you say, there are more important things to fix first.

I like your honesty in acknowledging its a final step in improving one last component in the system/signal path vs a necessity.... Appreciated!

This is the next step in my "audiophile" journey, after just taking the leap in trying to understand "10mhz" clocks and what they can or cant do, Yes I know believe they "do". So thank you so much for this video, most interesting as always!

It has arrived, it is installed and it appears to have made the sound coming from streaming clearer. Of course, it may just be my OCD. lol

The quality of the build looks amazing, the milled-out chassis is really nice and oozes quality. I rely on CDs for my main source of music, I use music streaming to sample before I buy. I have ripped most of my music so I can endlessly play without bothering with physical media, but when I want to get the most out of my system I play CDs. My point being I don't put a lot of faith in the quality of streaming music and the myriad of issues that streaming can cause so investing in an audiophile-grade network seems to miss the point. I keep hoping Denafrips will get their CD transport to market, but I might end up getting the CDT3-MK3 from Jay. I just added the Jotenheim 2 to my setup, I am sending a balanced signal from my Ares II via Mogami Gold Studio XLRs and getting some amazing results driving my Sundara's.
