It's the same rules as Hitman, Dishonored, and every other game in the "do a job then gtfo" category... once the exit cutscene has begun, the game characters know they're not allowed to touch you.
@@Koettnylle From what I remember, you're working for two CEOs that hate each other, so you demolish/steal things for one then the other asks you to do the same to the other to get revenge (I guess neither knows you're working for the other as well). You also do work for a cop to avoid getting arrested and going to jail because they caught you when you were on your first job.
Just wish you could see the player character's hands and body, because absolutely, he'd flip backwards, fire the rocket, and flash either a peace sign or a salute as he hits the boat and drives away.
You know, I thought I was just shit at the game for thinking the time limits were too strict on many of these missions, but seeing that even a speedrunner can have only 4 seconds left on the timer when they escape makes me feel better about myself.
I thought that at first… then I got better lol. That’s literally all there is to it. These levels are designed to be finished in the time limit. It’s up to you to figure out how to do so.
Ypu have to remember they're trying to speed run the level in its entirety, that includes the setup, if you take a long setup you might be able to make it put with more time but the ru ner needs to balance the quickest way overall so only enough setup to be able to get out in time
Well they're also speedrunning the setup. From escape timer starting to escaping I've got a level down to 1 frame, but that's with setting up for like 20 minutes.
I'd like to imagine that the Doom Slayer here didn't know the optimal route or plan any of this in advance, he just followed his gut and went with what felt like a good idea at the time and it all worked out perfectly.
There is an amazing amount of comedy whenever you gingerly open a door to exit after entering by shooting a hole in the wall. That and in one of the Marina missions when the swinging gate bonks the taillight of the Jeep
The great thing is that you still get a taste of those speedrun things just playing the game normally. It makes pulling off the timed jobs really rewarding
I’m old, and started with the original Atari. I just bought my first “modern” console for Christmas, a PS5. Having played this game, I’m in awe of your ability. I never believed that video gaming could be considered a sport, but I do now. All of the strategy, timing, mental gymnastics on top of amazing fine muscle control is absolutely a sport. Your skills with this game are beyond belief. I feel great when I solve a part of a puzzle in a day. Very well done. New sub.
Me halfway through each missions prep: Oh Bill, what are you doing? You've really lost it this time. Me after watching a perfect speed-run of a level with seconds to spare: Goddamit Bill, you've done it again.
I'm watching this through as I'm playing the game for the first time (beat a level, watch a level sort of thing) and I'm impressed. My heist timer usually has a few more seconds, but it's after I spend 15-20 minutes exploring the map and setting things up, whereas you just jump right into it with minimal setup.
@@obamacrockadile2136 Not detracting from his obviously incredible skill, but it's worth mentioning speed running is a collaborative sport. Hundreds of people pitch in over years to make a run like this happen, it's awesome to see what the community has done - and our talented runner here.
Bro this is insane I been playing, you gave me a lot of new ideas I didn't know people could pull of all the optionals like that as well lol this must have took a lot of time and practice but its a beauty.
Only 8 minutes in, and I’ve decided my favourite part is when driving through a brick wall rather than the gate 2 feet to the right is actually a time save
I haven't started watching yet but I really hope that this means 100% in each level first time without going back to levels. That's how I played the first time and it was actually really fun creating weird strategies to get every optional objective with my sub-par kit instead of doing a run through of the bare minimum, collecting money, then going back through for the full 100% with everything unlocked.
Hang on, how are you this quick? In terms of walking around? I'm constantly just barging around, is there something that'll make you faster later on in the game?
i can barely do the bare minimum required with even just 2 minutes, but here is some one just going balls to the wall through these with the normal timer
PLAYER: *smashes a car to basically a frame just to dump it in the water with a truck and another perfectly okay car* SECURITY: PLAYER: *does the rest of their job normally* SECURITY: Now that's going too far!
How many runs were ended by a failed attempt at missions like fine arts? They have quite a bit of planning and one mistake can have the whole mission go sideways, I want a counter
The run and gun ones without much setup have me salty that they go so cleanly... the ones where it's speed setup on the gallup on the other hand are really satisfying.
Trick on car wash I found on my spare time; if you destroy the de-wheeled rover just right you can pick it up while it's below you and fly, source engine style, ended up pingponging off the top of the map before I fell down into the ocean
