The same MMR that hold world records and addressed all the OEM shortfalls of the mod engine family. Have an issue with MMR call their service number and allow them to correct. Mmr can’t control a car going lean and popping. Just like most people who drag mmr through the mud... let’s not blame the person behind the computer or anything. If their was a failure due to hardware that would be different... if a piston cracks or something that’s not the engine parts or the build if there wasn’t a defect In the parts like a crack or something then it’s the tune. The engine parts weren’t responsible for it and always people are always trying to find someone else blame this is why I stopped with this channel. Everything goes wrong and it’s always someone else fault. You ever thing there’s a reason why you literally always have trouble like with everything... and of course all this comes from the tuner... of course it’s not their fault smh

Personally own a R32 GT-R built for drag. I have 12 gauges in my car to monitor everything and it's just not possible to watch them all at once. Almost no one in these comments have a built drag car, and most wouldn't understand that just driving the car is a handful, then to have to watch every gauge. @@wolfracing9504 yeah, thats all true, but the order you listed is out. it popped the head gasket, which shouldnt have happened regardless, then “got hot” because it wasnt REALLY hot, it was just showing that because of the blown head gasket. on top of that, the motor still shouldnt have come apart like that, there was no coolant in the oil. all that carnage is caused by human error.

Dude, MMR has been toasting coyote engines since 2011. They are also cunts to deal with. There is NO LOVE there for MMR from just about everyone from SVTP.

You really don't know what happened? MMR didn't build this motor for them, and they didn't pay MMR for anything. This was a second hand motor that they hacked together after buying it from someone else. See how they hammer away in this video?... that's how they treat a build lol. Anyway, the truth is they asked MMR for help, which they agreed to, and then sent the engine and parts, including the bearings they are complaining about, to MMR to be reviewed and refreshed. Real MMR motors use specific parts. I have one...a 1500se and it's an absolute beast. Even still, I'm sure MMR did the best with the parts provided, and even after that, the treatment of the motor is what caused this issue. The redline was not a soft redline. As he is mentioning even in the video, he is referencing the physical limitation of the crank/cam combo, which is still questionable. There is more to it then that, such as stroke, cam spring choice, etc. The etching away at the gaskets is from repeated physical limiter hammering, and then the boost crossed into the water cavities, and blew off the coolant line. Instead of admitting his mistake and resolving it, they just sent it again. Absolutely insane. So then he had fuel and coolant displacing the oil which absolutely destroyed the bearings and rest of the motor. This is 100% the fault of this nutty dude in the video.

@@tannerstift1489 They bought the motor SECOND HAND and it needed work, but they wanted MMR to use the parts they sent....yes, including the bearings they are complaining about in this video. Besides, that's not what blew the motor. He destroyed the head gaskets from his abuse and the fuel and coolant displaced the oil...it doesn't take a genius to get that.

My Step dad had the same problem with MMR. He has a C6 vette and he went through 2 motors with MMR and had to switch and now he’s with ProSpeed and he’s on the same block they started him with making 1200 hp for the past year or 2 now

LOL, yeah, he shouldn't have bounced off the physical limiter and chipped away at the gasket, causing boost to cross into the water channels and blow the coolant line off. And if that wasn't enough, he put it back on and sent it again! Fuel and coolant displaced the oil and ate the motor to bits. That's what happened with the bearings. This guy knows nothing about motors.

They asked MMR for free which is why the motor was sent to MMR and sat there so long...it was FREE work because of his channel. Then, they get it back and talk trash? Oh, and the parts used in the motor they complained about? Yeah...they asked MMR to use them. Then they proceeded to go all noob on the motor and blew it lol. No, MMR is not a bad company. Are you reading more internet regurgitation? Okay, I'm a bit passionate about this because I'm heavily involved in the modular motor scene. The reality is that MMR had a hard run many years ago...like 13 years ago lol, but much has changed since then and they now use excellent manley parts, as well as their own which they machine, and the motor build process is very good. I have one of their motors... a 1500se, and it's currently at 19psi, and will be turned up on E85 to 30+ this spring. I have renown build that will also be featured in magazines this coming year, so think what you want.

Oh, and I finally bought a manual! I bought it Tuesday and surprised my parents by learning how to drive it in roughly 180 seconds. It’s a 2005 Scion tC with 139k miles. It’s straight piped, which I’m not a fan of personally, but honestly, the crackles and pops when I shift are slowly winning me over. 😂 Now, if you’ll excuse me, I can finally justify buying a save the manuals license plate cover!

When the bearings get to hot, the bearings curl in. This is common with low or lack of oil pressure. This is what happens right before they spin.

@@deandelatorre2928 never said it was his fault. I know it’s MMR’s fault. I was getting bad vibes from MMR from the beginning. Especially because they held onto the motor for like 6 months. Then they made Gavin make 2 videos saying “it’s not MMR’s fault and MMR is a great company”. Otherwise they would have sued him. The funny thing is that he was pushing those stock coyotes way harder than this motor and yet they were making about the same power levels. And yet those stock coyotes were lasting longer and making several passes on the drag strip.

The reason I shut down my rebuild shop was I could not find a new machine shop I would trust after my previous one retired. If you DO find a reputable shop, they are GOLD! I hope you keep on, and maybe ya need to just trust your own ability, build the darned thing, and be D---ed the nay sayers.
