Ok.. thought this was going to be the usual, here is the axe fx 3, here is his guitars blah blah blah, the stuff we have heard a thousand times. However you asked the very detailed kind of questions that guitarists want to know from bands that use modelers. WELL DONE!! Now if you could just ask phil what amp/ preamp they used on Desert Song. I absolutely love that song, and i really dont think that we are hearing a rockman or the digitech gsp 21 they were probably using live around that time. Pete woodruff said they tried using their randalls when they started recording adrenalize, but they decided it didnt sound right. I know that song was originally recorded during the hysteria sessions but was rerecorded after joe came up with the lyrics. That tone sounds slightly different from their other stuff. Anyhow, thanks!
Hell Yea!! Phil Collen is criminally underrated as a guitarist and his guitars are awesome. Love the Jackson PC-1 and the Supremes but the tele is also great! Awesome Rig Rundown 🤘🤘🤘
Great interview Jeremy! The Fractals are so powerful and convenient for these Arena\Stadium gigs. We just had this same discussion on our show with Shania Twain MD/Guitarist Brent Barcus who is an Axe FX lll user as well.
John's resume is S T R O N G. And total props to Jeremy - extremely well-prepared and researched on the gear. Highly conversant and asking the right questions, making the right observations. Well-done! And indeed Adam at FU Tone has been a prince among men for ages.
We need more content like this Jeremy, your respect for the art on the side of the stage is so evident and John could tell you are a heavyweight with the gear. Lovely all around! Would love to see another video with Steve Stevens if possible… cheers - R
Great video Jeremy big thanks. The only thing I wish you had asked him, which is probably the biggest thing about his tone is, what IR's he's using. I've heard it's the York Audio stuff but would of been nice to hear what John said. But killer vid man and thanks again.
Neal Schon's a collector, but I believe he plays everything he can and it doesn't just sit in a warehouse. The Peavey T-60 guitars had aluminum nuts on them and I love it.
