its a method of making sure letters are clearly heard when spelling stuff out over the phone. Its pretty helpful when there is a language barrier/accent barrier. All the scam videos do it the same way. R is some times used as Romeo or Robert, (for example: alpha bravo charlie delta echo foxtrot golf hotel is A B C D E F G H)

I dodged a bullet like you did earlier this year. Being a cheapskate aren't the worst hey? haha Told me I had to pay $400 dollars for premium service, and I'm like "I'm a student and I don't have that much money", so the scammer told me to call back when I decide I have the money. It is only then when I started getting suspicious and digged around to realise it's scam. I'm pretty tech-illiterate, but now I know to be cautious.

When this first happened to me I fucked around with their "tech support" sites for about 3 days just because they were annoying as hell

Well the first time i encountered a "tech support" site that claimed i had a virus on my computer had instantly downloaded a "police" type virus . you can look that one up if you want to . it locked my screen and i had to go to my bios and reinstall my windows and all of my programs and all of that shit . after going through all of that i decided to mess with their site . tracked the host of the site and i kept editing stuff on the site , lice pictures , i kept overloading it with stuff so that it closes . the guys tried to retaliate at first by recoding some stuff but it was not much of a problem for me . They gave up after a while , i fucked around with their servers for the next two days after that one .. and i guess that's the story . It was pretty cool to be sincere . And funny at the same time

I just use AVG to find them and look up the reg keys then shred them 100x as well as the quarantined files after stopping the processes. most files can't live after having their code scrambled that thoroughly.

i just keep a back up on an external hardrive. If it isn't an easy fix I just wiped the computer and reinstall windows then use my backup.

The video creator was saying "you may not know it's a scam" but the scammer knows he's a scammer and was saying "I'm legitimate" because he was still continuing with the ruse of scamming. You know the whole "deny, deny, deny. i did not have sexual relations with that girl" bullshit. He's aware he's a scammer. Don't feel bad for him. People who scam are 100% aware and do it for the money. NEVER feel bad for them. They use psychology to scam people. If you start feeling bad for them then you're falling more for the scam and letting them get away with the crime.

You can't talk someone into buying something if hardly believe in the product yourself. And if sales declined we would get a meeting to reinforce our beliefs and instructions how to handle customers. It was almost run like a cult. They made us sell contracts supposedly below market price. In the end it costed the customers more money. This was all technically legal, but borderline scamming. I only realised this when customers started asking me questions. The culture in the workplace was about reaching targets, there was no time to think or talk things over with colleagues. People that didnt reach their targets would simply get fired which would automaticly weed out weak believers. If people can be fooled to believe in a invisible man in the sky, they can be fooled to believe anything. And what is a more effective scammer than a scammer that believes he is a Microsoft Tech.

I honestly think it depends on which ones you talk to. This guys actually seemed like he kinda knew, but was trying to turn a blind eye to the fact that he was scamming. Some definitely know, they're so obnoxious and usually try to set an encryption password to lock you out of your computer. And then some seem truly oblivious. I actually saw a video like this where the scammer talked to the guy and realised it was a scam. So he said he was gonna quit. Either a good actor, or truly didn't know. He said they had a book that told them what to do, and most of their employees knew very little about computers.

the malware/virus would have to guess a lot of things to be able to leave the vm, so, no, it cannot infect your real system. (although I've heard that some people use double vms for extra security)
