I'm currently in Hawaii on a YOLO trip so I haven't had a chance to watch, but I can't wait to binge it when I get home. Thanks so much for doing the tutorial Jess!
I love how you make mistakes - - just like any of us could - - and do. And then how you worked throughout the entire project. Frankly I think the modifications you made are so nice. Great job Jess!! You are an impressive teacher!
YAHOOOO!!!! WALLET TUTORIAL!!!I Mad respect for SewGnar! Love you Jess! You're teaching style resonates with a LOT of people. I've learned a lot from you.💟
I have to confess I opened my box early AND watched Nichole & Lauren's live (recorded) show - Confession over. 💜 This wallet is gorgeous! The colors are so fun & I can't wait to make it. Thanks for the collab!
A thought, if you think you might make this in all various versions, print the pattern multiple times. That way you can mark each one with the correct measurements and all the notes that you might need. I also sometimes print my patterns on a legal-sized page of paper (11x14). Helps if you have longer pattern pieces that require you piece them. Extra note, when printing your patterns, be sure to change the page margins on your printer; i.e., change 1/2" margins to 1/4" margins. This gives you extra space to squeeze things on the page. Jess, instead of using the ribbon for the card slots, use the Garden Ground fabric like Jeannie's Design has done in previous videos. It's lightweight and won't fray like the ribbon will. Until next video ... Have a great week!!!
I’ve made this three times, each time getting better and better. I did mess up a 4th but with cutting different pieces of cork, I think I can get something that works and not toss it. Thanks for this version.
I struggled with this as well as I had to “jimmy rig” with the cork I had. I too did not add additional seam allowances. When zI make this again, I am going to make it wider a smidge. Card slot piece for me was the hardest part. Thanks
Your videos are excellent!!! Love all of them!! I will try to sew a pattern by Hansedelli, Little Mynta wallet. It is so cute...If you have a video about it, please, please, let me know!! Thank you for all your time!!
I made this wallet with cork a while back and I hated it :(. The directions were so hard to follow and I was so confused. I found the wallet to be too bulky for my liking. Thank you for the tutorial - I think I will try again with lighter material.
It’s kind of disappointing to spend $75 and have to pay shipping to get the needed edge coating sample jars for another $9.50 and you need to provide the small d-rings. So this is not all self contained. It’s still very cute.
Where do you see we can get the jars of edge coat? Mine weren’t in the box. I am really disappointed with the price of the box and what was included this month 😞
This is my first box and was so excited to get it, received it and was really disappointed that I had to order the edge paint and pay for shipping and now wait AGAIN for the edge paint to arrive so I can sew it……I really hope this isn’t going to be the same way every month.
@@dawngooderham7130 My first box as well and I am not impressed. $75 for small pieces of vinyl - I already have stabilizer and D rings in my sewing room. the one thing I don't have that I'd like to try out is edge coating and I have to spend another $3 to get it? no thanks.
@@wondergroundfabricsthat’s disappointing that it wasn’t included in the supply box that we already paid $75 for and that we have to pay additional shipping on the edge paints. It’s supposed to be an all inclusive box.
@@Six-Stitches we really wanted to feature this small business in our boxes but we also have to consider budget for these (pattern, tutorial, supplies , labor, shipping .. it really does all add up) so this was the best way we could feature this particular item , we purchased the paints so that’s why they are “free” to the subscribers ❤️ but we will take this feedback into account going forward! I appreciate it!
@wonderground thank you so much! I appreciate it. The boxes are such a great deal paying for shipping is not a problem, I don’t mind at all supporting a small business, EVER!
@wondergroundfabric - I am so appreciative of these mystery boxes. I realize we are getting quite the deal here with a custom color, and a bonus for me, finding another site for crafts that I didn’t know existed.
Unfortunately, the edge coat set is not available for my address. Too bad it wasn't sent in the package so I would have received it, since it was free. They should send to those who subscribe
@@tracyinmo6885 let me check the site 😊 I’m guessing you are clicking the shopping button on the product page instead of clicking the project box first and it taking you to the full description page that give the subscription option
