Hi Albert, Sorry for the late reply. I do not have an answer for you I am sorry. I have been mostly a Garmin guy til now. That said, I just purchased a Apple Watch SE and hope to visit the Technogym showroom soon and test this out. If I get a solution sooner. I'll post a new comment! Regards Cafe Nate
Hi there great video, does this bike have any built-in features like built-in classes or different built-in routes ie pre-filmed or you have to have a subscription-only?
Thanks for the comment! - Please check out my other Technogym BIKE videos that run through the many class options by: music genre, Class instructor, location and duration. Best part is that the platform grows regularly. Each LIVE class then goes into the library for you to enjoy as an 'on-demand' class. Pretty cool! Class locations will grow too. At the time I did my demo, there were two locations UK and Italy. Now I am not sure of the impact that the pandemic has had on the time frames, but I do know that Technogym Australia was looking for a site to film their LIVE classes and other countries were too. I cant wait for an update soon! - The live and on-demand classes are subscription based. My belief is that the scenery/routes are not subscription based. There are a few to do and I am not sure if this will expand... but I can't see why not. I hope this helps! Nate
Before you become too entranced with the superfluous bells and whistles, consider the Bike Forma for the same price, with integrated and equally accurate HRM wiith a superior, tangible increment control on the display.
Hi Zoso, Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. I really like the Forma too and have recommended it to friends who require an upright bike. That said, the 'BIKE' is a very different product, offering LIVE streamed classes as well as an on-demand library of previous classes. These features alone seperate BIKE from FORMA or any traditional cardio piece we have seen on the gym floor in that past. The BIKE is also based on the Group Cycle bike used in indoor cycling studios for classes. So the 'BIKE' ride and feel is closer to riding an outdoor bike rather than an Upright bike you'd find on a gym floor. I guess it is more of a preference thing and I am glad to see your passion and defence for FORMA riders around the globe! That said, I am confused about your comment around 'superior, tangible increment control on the display'. The 'BIKE''s resistance level is displayed on the screen as a level and more importantly, you are also given your power output, which is something that is well established as a measure of performance within the cycling community. Personally I use power as a preferred measurement in my cycling life with programs such as ZWIFT and The Sufferfest. Thanks again for your comments!
It depends on your region. So best jump on to the Technogym website in your area of the world. That said, at the time of posting this response the US Technogym site had the SKILLBIKE listed price @ $4,870 USD. Thanks for your comment!
