➤Demo Now: Tecnifibre TF40 305 (16x19) Racquet: www.tennis-ware...
Introducing the TF40 305 (16x19)! With this racquet, Tecnifibre introduces a new model to the TF40 family. Unlike the original TF40 305 (launched in 2019), this racquet packs a modern 16x19 string pattern, giving it easier access to spin along with a slightly higher launch angle for easier depth. It also has the phenomenal control, pocketing and feel of the first generation TF40s. Although this model is lighter than the TF40 315 (16x19), it packs a higher swingweight (321-RDC), making it slightly better at plowing through the ball or redirecting higher levels of pace. That said, it still has enough speed for whipping up heavy spin, hitting shots on the run or reacting quickly at net. Technologies include a stable RS Sharp beam along with Dynacore XTC for extra touch, dwell time and pocketing. This racquet also has Foam Inside for a more solid feel at impact. Ultimately, with its impressive combination of spin, precision and speed, this is a great option for intermediate and advanced ball strikers. The great feel at impact is a nice bonus.

Brilliant racket, played with it for a few hours. Similar to Pure Strike but with a more Yonex-like feel

I have been a prostaff 97 2015 user before i keep getting shoulder pain recently. As a 40 yr old, i am planning to switch to new racquet that hopefully can be more shoulder friendly. Do you think tf40 is the right choice? Thanks

I found my racket... after two years of trying many good rackets out, I finally found it! Its great. I played the 18x20 for quite a while but just couldn't get used to the low launch angle so I moved onto a Head Radical MP but that's just got such a small sweet spot and I guess I don't hit in the middle of the racket as consistently as some! This is a great all round racket... I do kind of want to try the Wilson Blade V8 though ;)

Looking forward to this one-looking to move on from my blade 16x19 v6 to something a bit more arm friendly with a bit more free power while remaining controlled and allowing me to spin the ball. Would vcore pro 97 310 be worth a look as well or would I not really be gaining much over my blade at that point? (I tend to not like the look of overly thick beams)
@tenniswarehouse
@tenniswarehouse 2 года назад
It sounds like the TF40 305 (16x19) could be just what you are looking for. I think it does a great job of retaining a lot of control, and feel like the Blade, but with a bit more pop on the ball. That said, not quite as stiff, and better feel than a Pure Strike 98 16x19. The VCORE Pro 97 (310) may be worth a try as well, as there is also plenty of control and feel, and I feel like i can generate a pretty heavy ball when playing with it, good pop and easy spin. Although I prefer the heavier version of the VCORE Pro 97, but would probably be content with the 310 and a little bit of customization. Troy, TW

@@tenniswarehouse following up on this. Tried the 97D and really enjoyed the feel. Seemed much more stable and consistent against heavy hitters than the 310. However I have a history of tennis elbow so am slightly concerned about playing with it long into a match. Is this something I should be worried about with the D? (I’m coming from a blade v6 that was 326SW) Or is the safer choice just to lead up the 310 if needed

How does this compare to a Blade 98 16x19? v7 or v8
@tenniswarehouse
@tenniswarehouse 2 года назад
It is pretty comparable overall, however when it came to the feel on contact, this one felt a bit firmer and crisper, so a bit more pop while still being pretty comfortable. But not quite as firm or lively as a racquet like the Pure Strike 98 16x19. Troy, TW

How does it compare to the T-Fight 300 RS? The specs are almost identical.
@tenniswarehouse
@tenniswarehouse 2 года назад
It is mostly a difference in feel, and also a slight difference in power. This TF40 305 has a slightly thinner, and straight beam, which gives it a bit more flex, and a bit more control, and feel. The TFight 300 RS has a slightly thicker beam, which correlates to a bit stiffer feel (although still decently comfortable), and a bit easier access to power. Also, the TFight 300 RS feels a bit more maneuverable, being about 5 grams lighter overall. Troy, TW

@@tenniswarehouse thanks Troy! I just ordered the Tfight rs 300 from you guys without demoing it. I used to play with the previous tf40 18x20, but it lacked power I thought. The new 16x19 would be more powerful, but I think still a bit underpowered. I think the rs 300 will have just the right amount of power, but still have enough comfort for me. I hope it was the right choice.
@steveg.7490
@steveg.7490 2 года назад
@@rideu2b I think you should have demoed them both before ordering - I prefer this racquet as the feel is excellent and I get plenty of pop. I like the TFight 300 as well though. I would say the TF40 305 16x19 is best for 4.5 players and up. It's less stiff as well and sounds like a higher launch angle with more pop than the 18x20.

What is the better option and easy to play for a agressive flat hitter, tf40, blade, pure strike vs or ezone98?
@tenniswarehouse
@tenniswarehouse Год назад
Ohhh good question -- it really is going to be a personal preference, but as the flatter hitters in this office, I would go with the EZONE 98 as it has the open string pattern and a good amount of power but still the 98 square inch head and a bit of control with some good plow through! There are several models in the families you mentioned that you could try as well depending on what you are coming from and what you like, I know some flatter hitters also love the Pure Strike 100 and the Blade 98 16x19. Hope that helps, Michelle, TW

This or the Prince ATS Tour 98? How do the TW playtesters feel? Or anyone in the comments section.
@tenniswarehouse
@tenniswarehouse Год назад
Both are really good options. I thought maneuverability wise, they were pretty close in stock form. For me, I find slightly more control and feel (although feel is very subjective) with the TF40 305 16x19, but maybe just a bit easier power from the ATS Tour 98. Beyond that, for some that are more particular to the grip shape, Tecnifibre is a bit more rectangular/oval in profile (kind of like older Head racquets), and Prince is more square/round in profile, closer to Wilson or Dunlop. Hello Tw, how would you say this racquet plays against the radical mp 2023 ? Thank u !
@tenniswarehouse
@tenniswarehouse 9 месяцев назад
Yes, we find this one to be fairly comparable. I find this TF40 to be a bit more solid (5 grams heavier) and offers maybe just a bit more control. The Radical MP 2023 offers a bit more maneuverability and slightly easier power. Troy, TW
@thalescastro89

How does this one compare with the tfight 315? Coming from the 360+ speed pro. Looking for stability, plow, pop but also maneuverability. Also worthy noting that i like 16g polys at lower tensions. So racquets with too much power/trampoline effect normally dont work well
@tenniswarehouse
@tenniswarehouse Год назад
Besides the weight difference, The TFight 315 is stiffer, provides more power, and also feels a bit more stable overall, something which I notice especially on volleys and those defensive type of flick shots at the baseline, or like half-volleys. The TF40 305 has a slightly more controlled response, and a more plush/comfortable feel. Spin is good with both, but a bit easier and the string spacing is a bit more open with the TFight 315. Maneuverability is pretty good overall with the TF40 305, but it also about 10 grams lighter, and the TFight 315 maneuvers pretty well for its weight. The TF40 315 16x19 maneuvers very easy for its weight, and has more control than the TFight 315 as well. I assume you are going for a 16x19 for more spin in comparison to the Speed Pro? Troy, TW
@thalescastro89
@thalescastro89 Год назад
@@tenniswarehouse Hey Troy. Thank you very much for your quick and very detailed response! I really appreciate it. Yes, im looking for a 16x19 in a 98 headsize as I am used to 18x20 in a 100 headsize, i assumed that switching to a 16x19 and 100 headsize would be too much. I have tried that in the past and never worked either. I did play with the ezone 98 tour 1st gen for some months and loved it but it was too sluggish in my FH and also caused me shoulder pain due to weight + sw + balance. So i was thinking something not too stiff but with above average stability, plow and pop, not too heavy, controled launch angle but better spin than my speed pro and better accuracy/precision than my old ezone 98 tour (thinner beam im thinking..).. thats whats going on haha. thanks for your help! Now you got me worried with the spring spacing in the tfights line. I could also try the tfight 300 and customize it with lead, but spring spacing may be an issue coming from a 18x20.,..
@tenniswarehouse
@tenniswarehouse Год назад
Yes, as far as string spacing the TF40 16x19 (either 305 or 315) would likely be the better option coming from the 18x20 Speed Pro. I would then maybe recommend the TFight ISO 305 (18x19) but the SW on those has been pretty high for the most part, like 335 and higher. Also, I have frequently hit with the newest version of the Radical Pro and it plays very well having a slightly tighter spaced 16x19 and maybe a bit more stable than the TF40 16x19. It is hard to say unless you pay to get your racquets spec'd, but I felt like the SW on the new Radical Pro is pretty manageable compared to past generations, but like I said it is hard to say since specs (especially SW) can vary in a batch of racquets. Don't get me wrong I love the feel of the TF40 current version, I play with it a lot, but I am trying to gradually dial it in with some weight in the hoop to find the ideal stability. Troy, TW

Hey TW, how this racket compared to ezone 98 2018, pure strike 16x19 3rd gen, and tf40 18x20?
@tenniswarehouse

It is pretty much the same racquet as the TF40 18x20, but with a more open string pattern for easier spin. The EZONE 98 (2018) is a bit more maneuverable and provides a bit easier power. The Pure Strike 16x19 3rd Gen is the stiffest, and packs a bit more power to the TF40 16x19, but similar power to the EZONE 98 (2018). Troy, TW

Seems like 305g has higher SW than 315. Which is easier to swing on serve and strokes??
@tenniswarehouse
@tenniswarehouse 2 года назад
It is pretty close between the two. The weight and swingweights somewhat balance each other out between the 305 and 315 (heavier w/ lower SW, but lighter w/ higher SW). I would say the main thing I noticed was that the 305 16x19 seemed to make it a bit easier to achieve power, without it feeling too heavy. Whereas, with the 315 16x19, it feels a bit lower in power, but also pretty whippy, so to get the power up I might want to add a bit of head weight, then for some it might sacrifice being too heavy at that point. @tenniswarehouse
@tenniswarehouse 2 года назад
Not for certain on the exact weight of that leather grip, but they usually make the racquet a point or two more headlight, not less headlight. So if you want to make the racquet one point less headlight, the easiest way to achieve that would be to add roughly 3 grams of weight to the tip of the racquet, at 12 o'clock. Troy, TW

How about power, spin and volley compared to pure strike 305g 16x19? Thanks@@
@tenniswarehouse
@tenniswarehouse 2 года назад
A little more control with this one, and a bit easier power with the Pure Strike 98 16x19. Spin is pretty comparable between the two. Maybe a bit more pop with the Pure Strike on the volleys, but the TF40 feels a bit more plush, and maybe a bit more touch. The beam is slightly thinner and a bit more flexible with this this TF40, so it gives it a bit more comfort and feel for the ball. I found this TF40 to kind of sit somewhat in between the Pure Strike (being a bit stiffer and a bit more power), and the Wilson Blade 98 16x19 v8 (being softer and bit more control than the TF40). -Troy, TW

Very similar to the TF40 315 16x19, just a bit different in overall weight and balance. The 315 version feels maybe just a bit more stable overall, with the extra 10 grams built-in, but the 315 also feels pretty maneuverable considering its weight. The new 2022 EZONE 98 swings pretty fast for a 305 gram frame, I would say a bit quicker to maneuver than the TF40 305 16x19. The 2022 EZONE 98 also provides a bit easier power, even though it does feel slightly more controlled than its predecessor. The TF40 305 16x19 gives a bit more control, slightly more stable feel, and I can feel the ball a bit more with it compare to the EZONE 98. Hope that helps, Troy TW

Nice and informative video. I noticed this racket has a 3 points headlight rating compared to rackets like Pro staff 97 or Blade 98 which have an 6 to 11 points headlight rating. Does this 3 point headlight attribute make it play much differently than the above mentioned rackets and if so, how in general and in terms of manoeuvrability for one handed back hand players. Thanks!
@tenniswarehouse
@tenniswarehouse 2 года назад
We did find the average strung balance to be 3 points HL, although the swingweight isn't all that high. So with the combination of the two (balance and swingweight), it doesn't feel all that hefty. I tend to find the less headlight the racquet is, the more it feels good on groundstrokes, giving easier power and plow through from the baseline. The more headlight racquets tend to feel better on serves and volleys, and maybe a bit more of an all-court feel. That said, the swingweight plays the biggest role in determining maneuverability, so pay attention to that as well. Troy, TW

@tenniswarehouse
@tenniswarehouse Год назад
Both are great options, that said the 305 seems to be the slightly more popular option and also feels like it makes it a bit easier to generate power. The 315 feels slightly more controlled, possibly due to the way it is balanced, with it being more headlight and lower swingweight it feels very maneuverable but also slightly less plow through. I think a dampener is just a personal preference thing, I prefer a dampener (like the Tourna Sampras Damp) but that's just my preference, other playtesters don't use one. Troy, TW

@tenniswarehouse
@tenniswarehouse 2 года назад
My favorite is the 305 18x20 as I hit my one-hander without a ton of spin. Both the 305 and 315 16x19 racquets feel easy to maneuver yet offer decent stability. I find they require similar amounts of effort to swing since the heavier weight of one is equaled out by the higher swingweight of the other. I felt comfortable driving my backhands, rolling an angle or looping it deep with both racquets. I would likely go with the 305 version if I had to pick since the specs are a closer alignment with my current racquet. However, not really a wrong choice for me there. Cheers, Chris, TW

Specs are fairly close overall, but this TF40 305 16x19 provides easier access to spin, more bite on the ball from string spacing. A couple that come to mind specifically because you are seeking comfort, which eliminates racquets like the Pure Strike 100 for me, would be the Prince Twistpower X100, and Prince Textreme Tour 100 (290), both play pretty comfortable for their given stiffness and are below your 300 gram limit. If you wanted even more comfort, and a lot of control, the Prince Phantom 100X 290 is very flexible and comfortable on the arms, but not much in terms of easy power. The ProKennex Black Ace Pro 300 is extremely comfortable, but like the Phantom not a ton of free power. I would also consider the Yonex VCORE Pro 100, and 2022 Yonex EZONE 100, as well as the Wilson Blade 100 v7. Troy, TW

@@tenniswarehouse no worries, how easy is it to generate spin with this compared with the TF40315 16x19 and then also more spin focused racquets like the pure aero and head extreme? Thanks

Pretty much the same spin potential with the 315 and the 305, both 16x19, I guess would just come down to which one you think would more suitable for maneuerability. Maybe not quite as spin friendly as a Pure Aero, or Head Extreme, or VCORE 100, but I found spin to be really good for more of a control oriented frame, as I felt confident swinging freely, and was getting plenty of bite on the ball. Make it in a black version with a GLOSS paint finish and I'm the first one to put in my order!

Hi, currently I am playing with Dunlop Srixon CX 200 tour 16/19, 310-gram, previous version. How much different is this from that racquet. Planning to switch, as I feel the head size is a bit smaller and the power and pop is a bit less. I am 42 years,5ft 10 inch, Left hand, and one hand backhand. Play with a lot of power and relatively flat shots. Is worth a switch?

I noticed a bit more pop, or energy return with this TF40 305 16x19. I think maybe a combination of the slightly larger head, a bit thicker beam, and the feeling a of a bit more plow through, made me feel like I was getting a bit more punch on the ball. It could be worth the switch, but ideally it would be good to try a demo. Also, if you are a bit more of a flatter stroke style, you might even consider the 18x20 version. Another thing I might note is that the grip shape of the Tecnifibre racquets is a bit more rectangular, sort of in between the Dunlop which is more square/round in shape, and the classic Head shape which is pretty rectangular. @@tenniswarehouse I have been playing with this for a while now, it really is a good racquet, But it is a head heavy racquet, is there a way to reduce it? Otherwise a great one..

Troy how would you modify this one or just go with the 315 with some weight at 3 and 9?
@tenniswarehouse
@tenniswarehouse 2 года назад
I guess it depends on how heavy you prefer the racquet to be. The 315 with some added weight around 3/9 or 2/10 would likely be a good way to go, since it is not the easiest to add weight to the handle on the Tecnifibre's. That said, the 305 16x19 might be nice to add a leather grip, if you like the firmer feel in hand, and then some weight in the hoop for swingweight, depending on your preferences. Adding weight to the handle, you would either need to remove the butt cap to get inside the tubes, and then re-staple it back on, or I have done a layer of lead tape, and then sealed the top of it with clear office tape, which is usually pretty thin and not all that noticeable, although some might not like that. @@tenniswarehouse You missed a great chance to plug Tungsten tape! I have the PK Q+5 and wrapped a strip of tungsten under leather grip. In hindsight, should have cut into multiple strips, because I can feel it a bit under grip.
