I had the pleasure of meeting him when I was in college and he'd already had his accident Didn't matter!!. I was at Neiman Marcus in Atlanta and I looked over and was STUNNED!! Considering we see everyone in The A and never care. I made my way over and told him how much I loved his music and that I was only in college but had been listening first with my parents and ALWAYS in the car!! He was soooo charming, elegant and handsome - that smile!! I was star-struck!! He truly was a STAR!! Miss you Teddy!!!!
Teddy was Tall, Sexy and Sultry, and made you want to be in love or fall in love. He is truly missed. Loved that man's Style of Singing and him in general.
I saw Teddy at Londons Victoria theatre with Stephanie Mills as support, and then again at this actual concert the Hammersmith Odean in 1982…. they don’t make them like this anymore … Starting out as the drummer for Harold Melvin and the Blue notes, but nobody leaves Teddy in the corner….he took the world by storm, the rest is history…
I will say it again like I said it before. This man is the true king of RB. He is a master of it and that voice, force, and presence is on another level even when viewed today.
Yes Teddy Gives 100 Percent of His self that's what makes a Real Singer We Miss you so Sad what happened to this sol.He was Going Global would have been Rich Thanks you for your Music it's Still a Event when played
Yes Teddy Pendergrass is awesome he really is.. Let's NOT FORGET The Maestro MR. BARRY WHITE HE IS RIGHT UP THERE WITH TEDDY IF NOT AHEAD THEIR BOTH MUSICAL KINGS IN MY OPINION!!!!!!
52 years old and a music lover across all genre. Never known a singer as passionate and talented as Teddy. On feet or on wheelchair, he excelled. He delivered!!! Best voice ever!

I was blessed to see him concert. It was one of the best experiences of my life.I was only 18 and my sister surprised with tickets for my birthday. Sexy chocolate man!
Your fortunate i was 20 when he performed this in Hammersmith Apollo and my mum wanted me to come with her as her friend couldn't make it so silly testosterone filled young man thought it's not cool to be seen out with your mother. Silly Fool i have been can I go back in time and see him coz Now the whole town's laughing at me 😭😭😭
Thank you for posting the full concert!! I listen to Love TKO almost every day as I am healing from a long season of suffering with lyme disease. Dear God, please bless me with complete healing! Rest in heaven, sweet Teddy! One Love! xoxo :)
💫✨ 📖 Isaiah 33 : 24 ; Job 33 : 25, respectively. Hopefully, you’re feeling much better now; fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome make me miserable many a day. What also helps me is Psalm 41 : 3, because God really cares!!! TP’s voice was infectious! Better mood due to this soulful balladeer! 👍🥰 💫✨
@@shemcg7830 Aww thank you for reaching out with scriptures! I’m praying we both feel better soon. I’m grateful for the few good days lately. I understand your pain. For me, it’s up and down like a roller coaster. Praying for healing and peace from Jesus. Amen 🙏💜🌈☀️ Sweet Teddy’s voice soothes me! ❤️
Teddy was the most gorgeous and stunning man on earth. And talented, of course, and he was only around thirty, still a young man. His performance is so mature, God really works in mysterious ways. When he was over fifty, he was even more charming, stunning and he was a really intelligent and wise man. What a man and what a human being.
Iris Bloom ...He Was An Only Child -Too. So, When They Say, He Was One Of A Kind...He Really Was!!! Bless His Heart, So Missed This Man. Never Got The Chance To See Him In Concert -Did You? This Concert Was The Same Year He Had His Car Wreck In...So, So Sad. RIHP Mr. Teddy Pendergrass. I Always Loved His Last Name!!!
@@darm.8172 I also loved his last name. According to lore, Pendergrass as a family name is Dutch and traveled to Britain with the Norman invasion. Once in the United Kingdom, the Pendergrass clan settled in the village of Prendergast, the Welsh county in Pembroke Wales. This said I am new to his music and am loving it! I've done a bit of reading about his life and career and it is altogether fascinating, heartbreaking and exhilarating. Listening to him and watching his performances on RU-vid I see that he was a highly gifted talent with looks, charm, stage presence and remarkably evolved artistry for his young years. I wished I had appreciated him while he was with us. Did I mention easy on the eyes? Wow!
Teddy the band and background singers were awesome in this powerful performance! He didn't let the accident discourage or stop him from continue to perform. Was blessed to see him perform live! Some great. R&B artist came out of Philly. Teddy Pendergrass, Frankie Beverly, pattie Labelle, Phyllis Hyman, Rachelle Ferrell, Barbara Mason, Tammi Terrell, Dee Dee Sharp, Three degrees, Sister Sledge, Solomon Burke, Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes, Billy Paul , Blue Magic, Stylistics, Intruders, Delfonics, Chubby Checker, Hall and Oates, Boyz ll Men, Brenda and the Tabulations, Jill Scott, Eve, Lisa " left eye " Lopes , Evelyn " Champagne " King, The Trammps, The Roots , Grover Washington jr. Pieces of a Dream, Stanley Clarke, Musiq Soulchild, the Futures, Breakwater. My legendary philly DJ cuz Sonny Hopson use to spin those vinyls back in the day on radio station WHAT. Just representing! Who's still listening until the end of time?🙂👍👏
I am just savoring and reminicing the romanticism he bought to our lives. Greatness personified. His life depicted all facets of the human spirit. Glory, beauty, fame, pain, tradegy disappointment, and the will to overcome. Such a wondeful package of the human experience. I love you for reminding me that we all just dust and must live our lives to the fullest and make the best of what life throws at us. RIP Teddy!
@@leslieriley7381 Your post really captures his essence and how closely it aligns with a Greek tragedy. The beautiful young god, uniquely and extraordinarily talented meets with a horrifically cruel fate that alters his life, but unlike the classic tragedy, the god (true to Teddy's type A/Alpha form) rejects sympathy and battles back to reinvent himself as a wiser, more compassionate man in his latter years. His tale and talent are truly for the ages.
As the saying goes, you regret more the things you don't do (rather than those you do), and not seeing Teddy in concert is one of mine - so never miss an opportunity for anything, it might be your only chance ... 💜
He was the best. Saw him in is first concert with harold Melvin and the blue notes. Told my cousin I want to be his manager. Because when he goes solo he will be number one. And he was
He’s singing like he’s in some type of mood for real. I’ve loved his voice forever but this concert seems more intense and “Raw”…… we just don’t know what’s around the corner of life. The hugging, loving me is killing me🤣🤭😋😂because I love and need HUGS……. Feels like I can step through the screen ☄️💯

That is real real music! Real instruments, and true talent, all on one stage. We will never have music or entertainers like this ever again. I grew up on this man, and old the good old music. And I still listen to it all today. Born in 76, and this is when music was real music, and had real meaning, and you could feel it all through your body.
Not only was Teddy a great singer he was a great entertainer plus good looking. As he said "don't let me get loose" he was a hell of a dancer. I just love Google now I can watch him every time I get a chance it. Daily
Teddy Pendergrass is one ☝🏾 of the best legendary performers ever and singer ever in music business! Teddy Pendergrass’s life and legacy will always live always and forever!
This makes me so sad. If only he lived. It didn't matter about the chair. I just think it goes along with his one song - 'bad luck'. Such a beautiful soul.
Lady and I melted. Such a characteristic and beautiful man. I truly enjoyed this Concert. We travelled from Bonnie Scotland 🏴 too see him. Never regretted one moment of him singing. Still love him and his music. ❤🕊❤
You always gave your best no matter what , but this performance LADY !!!!!!!!!!!!! was so unprecedented it made me believe that you were proposing to the love of your life.💜💜💜💜💜💜
Lionel Ritchie wrote this song. He sang it and Kenny Rogers also sang it. They sang it well but they sang it as if it were for only for the money. Pendergrass put so much raw passion in it. He sang it way down from his gut to make you feel what he is feeling.
Around the world Teddy music Love his music because he put his heart in the songs he make you feel better and happy lm happy when l listen to Teddy music he was
I had the great opportunity to see Teddy several times in Cincinnati. I will cherish those memories forever!! Rest In Paradise, Teddy Pendergrass ❤️🔥❤️❤️🔥

It's hard for me ,to believe, that I wasn't a fan of this man in the beginning and I just do not know why? Boy did I miss a lot! Thank goodness, for the memories that I can enjoy now! Miss you Teddy Bear!
Teddy was spectacular and admired. To have his life so changed at 31 to a tragic car accident is so sad. He did continue on until he was 59. Someone we as humans can admire forever. DVT

I want all artists, to realize their worth and contribution to their craft! We want you guys here, for a long time. So take it easy and be smart and do not get in front of the horse, that is pulling the cart! Miss you Teddy Bear! Thank you ,for the memories and love, that you left us with. He is still a handsome man and still got it! Musical and everything else!!! Just love him . May he rest in peace forever! Everyone will miss him and there is only one great teddy pendergrass and know one can play or place him. He has that great vibe and good performance know one can give or try to duplicate! Miss You always teddy 🧸 .
@@DEEZEyezTV I dont even listen to radio anymore because it is so pathetic and boring. Teddy was indeed the man. He could sing with so much passion. Had so much control of his voice. He new when to sing softly and when to project that voice. What an amazing talent. I still have all my teddy albums on LP and cassettes. Men today need to take lessons from this man.He knew the set of seduction!!! That's why us ladies love him!!!
In loving tribute to our dearly beloved, gifted and talented Brother, Teddy Pendergrass! His voice was very powerful and distinctive; his was a voice that cannot be duplicated, he had a sound that was all his own and still very much contemporary in essence, especially for those of us who remember the time! They don't make music like this anymore, with pure passion and soul by a real strong male vocalist! We miss you much! 💕🌺💕
🎶🎶🎶🥁🎸🎺🎹🎯that turn off the lights orchestra music is straight FIRE🔥✨✨✨His sultry singing he killing me slowly . TELL HIM⚡️💥✨✨I need it all Teddy 😢 excellent performance 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🎺
