Before I even clicked on this video, I said to myself, “This is about the be the best version of this song that you have ever heard. I don’t know if you’re ready for this…” And now I’m in tears. This is beyond beautiful.
A great homage to Mad Dogs and English Men. RIP, Joe Cocker, Leon Russell, Carl Radle, Bobby Keys, Sweet Emily, Denny Cordell, maybe more not sure. Wonderful wonderful rendition of this song.
I love them so much. IDK why TTB isn't one of the most popular bands playing today. They had to cancel their Red Rocks show this year, but I've got tickets for July '21 on my birthday. Can't wait.
If beauty was a minute this would be a hour❤️🥰 This band is without doubt one the best group of musicians ever assembled. Being a old geezer they remind me of Delaney and Bonnie and Friends. Love love love this band
Wow this is an incredible version of With A Little Help From My Friends. Susan has an incredibly soulful voice. Not many people can pull off such talent. Greats like Greg Allman come to mind in terms of talent. The band is amazing!
My very favorite song! Susan does it so good. I've seen Joe live, one of the greatest shows, but Susan and Derek turn it up a notch! Greatest group to date.
There's no denying the power and the impact of the Joe Cocker version, but from now on, whenever I hear anyone performing this song, I will ALWAYS think of y'all. Thank you so much.
The BEST band out there right now! Please do not stop what you are doing and what TTB represents! You need to put out an album of covers!! Make it a double album!! PLEASE Include this recording!!
Hey man, just listen to audio from pretty much every show they've ever played over at relisten.net Go to Tedeschi Trucks Band on that relisten.net/tedeschi-trucks website and it will give you a list of soundboard-audio, great quality recordings of whichever show choose to listen. Tons and tons of great TTB covers to be found in their live sets, and I think they are so much more of a live band (despite how good their studio albums are, they just hit different when they're all up on stage playing together) anyway, so I am sure you'll be able to get your fix that way. I agree, though, I would love a double album of covers from them! Every song they do just sounds and feels totally authentic, no matter the genre, and I love when they put their twist on other songs. So yeah, I highly encourage getting into their live recordings if you haven't. I always at least find it enjoyable to be able to go back and listen to the recording of the shows where I was present. Cheers
@@lukefish9443 No problem, my man. Always trying to spread the love and awareness of sites like relisten or the archive since a lot of people are unaware that they even exist. You'll find basically tons of shows from every jam band out there in their archives. Grateful Dead, TTB, Phish, JRAD, Marcus King Band, you name it. Enjoy! Oh and since I made your week, I'd love if you coud check out my instagram page and make mine! Thanks brother. instagram.com/sethstrickland/
@@mrs.dukakis7012 I think is human like all other vocalists I know. Remember this is all live while playing guitar. Not in a studio. Mistakes happen but mostly she's fucking an incredibly gifted singer. That's one of the hardest things to get just right if you're that type of vocalist, especially with the type of voice she has.
@@Rich-dw9ii Indeed. Joe (imo, obviously) topped Ringo, and that ain't easy. But Susan brings Susan to everything she does -- not just a cover, but her version.
Incredible cover, this woman and the trucks band rocks the shit out of this amazing song that came from God, to Joe Cocker, to Susan , to us! Thank you all
I saw them years ago in Bad Godesberg, Germany. Loved them back then, still love them now. Hard to believe but they are still getting better. Greetings from Germany.
I have been and still am a BIG fan of TTB. I didn't think they could get any better but they just keep raising the bar !! I will always love bands with horns and good backup vocal singers. Of course Derrick is fantastic and Susan is superb. Keep on rockin guys.
I LOVE THE WAY DEREK LOOKS AT HER WHEN SHE'S, WELL, I WAS GOING TO SAY STRUMMING THOSE STRINGS BUT ACTUALLY HE LOOKS AT HER LIKE THAT ALL THE TIME. THIS PEOPLE IS A REAL LOVE STORY WITH A HAPPILY EVER AFTER.
You guys are my new musical obsession! A friend bought me a CD a few weeks ago and I was blown away! Hope you make it to the UK when this pandemic is over. Keep up the great music!!!
🍻 To the greatest couple in all of music and their equally amazing band! As part of “the Family” I like countless people love you guys and your music and we need it now more than ever. So, thank you for your Swamp Family get togethers on Thursdays and the other content that have helped ease the pain of the world today. Can’t wait for us all to be together again soon celebrating music, love and each other. 🎸🥀💃🏽🕺🏽🍻🙏🏽❤️
BIG THANK YOU!!! Just what I needed being in lock down in SF with fires surrounding the Bay and record dangerous air. Friends and family are everything during this time.
I love this song. Joe Crocker oh that man could blow this song up. Of course, you know Janice did it and blew it up. Susan has that canon blowing those lyrics with that soul. She's in good company with Joe and Janice. Now, I must give a good word to those musicians. That includes those voices that are instruments. Sing that song woman sing it sing it. Blow it up!
@@larryn2682 you know I thought I saw her singing that song on a show from the pass. If she didn't wouldn't you agree she would sing the heck out of it Larry. Thank you. Have a great day.
I just absolutely love how this musicianship group has held together. Really, really beautiful. Still. Saw them at the R y m a n a few years back. Disappointed. Not their best effort. Probably maybe tired, or not. Enemy territory? You know. Maybe conservative. Charlotte. Used to live there until everything fell apart. It would not surprise me that a son of mine might attend.
