Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is an American animated television series produced by the studio Murakami-Wolf-Swenson and the French company IDDH. The pilot was shown during the week of December 28, 1987 in syndication as a five-part miniseries and the show began its official run on October 1, 1988.

My theory for how Hamato Yoshi got to New York from Japan without money is he had to immigrate to the US illegally due to being hunted by the Foot. Which would explain why he went directly to the sewers instead of any shelters and why couldn’t get a job because then he’d risk being found out and deported back to Japan. Edit: By the way I watched this review years ago and I still love it, but I thought I'd throw this out there in case someone hasn't already

This brought me back to my childhood. I had those VHS tapes. I had no idea the dad from Fresh Prince was that voice! This whole episode cracked me up..I hadn't seen it before so it was new to me. Now I can't get that theme song out of my head though..

I was a kid at the comic book and sci-fi convention - let me just bask in the memories of when a $30 ticket got you everything at the convention! - when they announced the first comic of this was coming out and did the presentation. I still remember people saying it was never going to take off.

After watching this I kind of hope you do the 2003 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series next, it's quite a step in a different direction from the more.. .comedic feel the OG series here had. EDIT: I didn't realize this was a re-upload and frankly I feel a bit dumb now for not noticing XD

Nahh...... what's really happening is that channel awesome need to keep uploading content on a regular basis in order to get money money money money money 🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑 RU-vid will only let you advertise if you have a certain amount of content regularly uploaded and of course the money comes from the adverts that we all skip but those five seconds that we can't still pay. I think it's something really harsh like 10 minutes a day of content from single channel in order to be sustainable and eligible for advertising on your videos

I had those vhs tapes as a kid. One of my favorite lines was when one of the turtles asked if the nutrinos had guns one that hot rod, and one of them said of course, they are required by law.

4:14 I don't think it works that way. At 3:12 you see splinter taking care of rats, so what the goo/chemical turned you into can't be based on what you were recently in contact with. If I had to guess, its what you had the most contact with, the turtles were mostly around that kid at 3:24, and splinter was around rats a lot because he lived in the sewers, in New York, instead of a homeless shelter.

2 things: 1) next month is Disneycember (just read this was a re-upload. Sorry lol) 2) the most prominent episode in my memory from my childhood is the museum episode with all the snow. I even had the tapes as a child. I remember the all had the same Burger King ad before the episodes started. The BK kids or whatever. Do another commercials episode with that one in it

I consider it third best, mainly because of how differently it looked from the '87 and '03 versions, it took me awhile to get used to the cg look if I'm being completely honest, but when I got used to it I enjoyed it. Anyway, who is your favorite version of the Shredder? Mine is definitely Utrom Shredder.

Recently, I had a conversation with this woman who was in her early 40s who said that she used to watch this cartoon back when she was about 10 and 11 years old. She even had a crush on two of the voice actors Cam Clarke and Rob Paulsen and wrote fan letters to both of them at some point. Unfortunately, she never got responses back from either.

One thing that puzzled me is how they paid for 🍕 Is Splinter secretly rich? Do they take the money from the bad guys? Or does the owner knows them and give it to them free? Plus, they had unusual tastes....which means the chef needs to make a special order, most of which is not normal ingredients...

You've got to admit, "Ninja Video Rental," comes the closest to sounding like a real thing. Seriously, it seems like a name for a video store of nothing but Kung Fu, Ninja, and other martial arts movies. I could easily see it also selling cheaply made katanas, sai, and shuriken in the back. :P

It's been a while since a new episode of "Raiders of the Story Arc" was produced. I've actually been watching a few episodes of some nostalgic series, for me anyway, recently and got to wondering why so many of these series are now pretty obscure. The Zoids anime series, a big deal back in the early 2000s but now almost nobody seems to really know about it. On the American animation front, we have a series from the late 90s early 2000s era known as Detention, this show seems to have flown under the radar way back in its time and almost nobody seems to realize it was a thing now. I think its main problem is that was airing at around the same time as the original run of Shaolin Showdown and the heyday of popular animated series on other networks. The show actually had a relatively interesting op and a main cast of quirky characters that were a bit stereotypical for the time but also surprisingly entertaining; not mention some of the characters had genuinely amusing names along with most of them getting a few episodes to really just show off their personalities in genuinely entertaining ways. I highly recommend checking out the series
