Thanks for the reaction Chase. I think you are the first reactor to do this live version. During this concert series, "Heart of Stone Tour", is the first time I saw her live. Left a mark on my heart for sure. I loved her "Rock" period❤

Cher's accent-less, but her singing technique is very unique with insanely relaxed vocal cords, wide open throat, a wide and constant vibrato, a pushed-low tongue, and usually way more pure chest-voice than other women. Because of her unusual singing style, her diction comes out differently and it seems like there's either a heavy accent or a light drinking problem, but it's just the uniqueness that is Cher. If you listen to a song like Sirens ( ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-SEi0a416yY4.html ) where she uses way more head-voice than usual, you can hear that her head voice doesn't give any sense of an accent, but then as she builds up power in the chorus, suddenly it seems like there's an accent there. It's a remarkably healthy way to sing and a big reason why her voice today at 77 years old is better than her voice at 20. I hope you keep going with Cher. You're definitely targeting the right era for her best material! This tour started after If I Could Turn Back Time took over the radio. Cher had always been seen as something of a vaudeville entertainer after her two television shows in the 1970's, and she struggled to be taken seriously as a singer. As this album was exploding and this tour was getting rave reviews, that all changed as she started getting the respect she deserved.

Her father is of Armenian descent, which gives her her dark coloring and probably more. However, she was born in El Centro, CA where I actually spent a few months in 1993. Tiny little town near Calexico (but bigger today).
