Let me tell you a little something about Psy: Psy wrote Gangnam Style in 2012 with no intention of it blowing up like it did. He did not write it for an international audience however, he used a little bit of English to make it a little bit more catchy. After what happened with Gangnam Style, Psy has done what any other human being has done: try to make money to feed and clothe himself. No. He's not trying too hard. He's just doing his job and having a little fun while he's at it. So please don't go around calling him a tryhard and such.

Over in Korea Psy is like the Korean Snoop Dog. He's been knocking around for about 25 years doing all sorts of things on the hip hop scene. So from a Korean stand point this collaboration is actually very natural and even anticipated.

Maybe I'm in the minority here, but I actually loved Hangover. It sounded more genuine, less forced to be "the next big thing". Not to mention it's probably the best thing Snoop has done in a while lol.

As a korean I think differently. I realised that this would be hard for others to understand as Korea has a HUGE drinking culture. I personally laughed my head off cause I got what the message thingo was, where as others may of been staying like what on earth did I watch. I think the whole point of this MV was to either allow others to learn about the korean drinking culture (not the best way) or aim this towards Koreans (which doesn't works as well since snopp dogs in there). But I have to agree, I do think some parts were just to make things funny which in the end made it awkward.

I agree with you! I'm from Mexico and a KPOP fan.... I watch dramas and variety shows and have learned some Korean cultural customs so when I watched the video I laughed and understood what he was talking about. It's like a funny manual to Korean drinking.

Psy went to college in the US. He speaks English. :P He didn't just "learn" English just for the song. I didn't enjoy the song that much. But hey, artists have to experiment to see what works. Clearly it wasn't as successful as his other hits, so I don't think he'll take that path anymore.
