Cool video. I sure miss seeing the caboose on trains

That is one of those days that is burned into my memory. Though I didn't find out about the runaway on Cajon til 4:30 that afternoon, I can still remeber where I was at 7:40am which was about the time the train left the tracks. That was my first period in my ninth grade year. As I watched the news coverage of the wreck that evening, I kept imagining the terror that the train crew were going through at the very same time that I was having my normal day going to school.

That day left an impression in my 15 year old mind. I still remeber it so clearly.

Sweet Jesus! That trailing SD45!

Oh..how I remember those 20 cylinders thundering up Tehachapi. I remember being able to hear the diesels miles away before reaching the loop. Thank you for the memories.

Fact: All Santa Fe U-Boats were out-of-service, stored in San Bernardino April 17,1990.
