I play like that too. It’s actually pretty easy to spam out and win ranked to a point or level. I…. Can’t do that. Find it extremely boring and while that’s mostly ranked. I’d rather lose than be bored. Moves and things must be tried 😂
Lil Majin literally uses King like a MMA fighter. His offense is very unique from what you normally see from your typical King Player. I'm not that familiar with Shin-Blade, but he takes inspiration from dirty boxing. High level Tekken is extraordinary to watch
Lesson learned as a king player… 1) don’t jaguar run at your opponent when they are in rage. 2) jag run can be side stepped easily 3) gut punch is an excellent response after you get hit with Steve’s ws 1,2 4) does Steve not have a good launch option for spring kicks? Majin threw a bunch and I wonder if that’s why.
Bro, literally any counter-attempt has a high chance of getting countered itself. Just because lil majin figured out a bit of this Steve's timing doesn't mean Steve as a character is bad. Steve is still by far the best counter-hitting character in the game, and in the hands of a specialist, he truly becomes a monster. But because of his ridiculously powerful b1, he obviously comes with drawbacks. (No standing whiff launcher in base stance, shit lows, shit mixups, bad punishment game, etc.) These drawbacks have been a thing with Steve since Tekken 4 my dude, and he is WAY better in Tekken 8 compared to Tekken 7. Now while Steve is top-tier in the Tekken God ranks, it does NOT mean he is top-tier in places like Green ranks. Steve is not tailored to be beginner-friendly and does not hold your hand like Leo. Steve also has terrible comeback potential so you usually never get bullshit wins and his new heat abilities honor this theme. Steve is an incredibly difficult character to play, and even the best Steve players such as Herra Malik have publicly stated that they have yet to master Steve. If you read all of that and you STILL think Steve is dead, literally just chose a different character, Steve is not for you. Steve is for people that want to scale late game irl. Steve is for people who see a karate bear and think about counterpunching it. Steve is for those with the desire to improve, not to win. (Because you will lose a lot with Steve) Steve is for masochists. Maybe if you didn't spend your energy complaining about how terrible a character is and instead spent that time training, you might become a better Tekken player and a more fulfilled person with a wider outlook on life. And hey if you actually want to get better with Steve, start working on your lows and mids for better mixups. Start punishing lows with ws12, whiff punish with df1+2, stop overusing b1, learn your frames, learn to sidestep block, get comfortable with stance transitions, alter your gameplan accordingly to the opponent's character and playstyle, keep your cool in the face of defeat and try learning something from it, instead of ruminating. There is always more to learn, and what you think is bullshit is simply something you don't fully understand how to deal with yet. But hey, that's just like my opinion or something idk
The most onesided dominance ever. Shinblade not that good and fails to use Steves biggest advantages, the bob and weaves plus simple foot stomps and he never mixes it up with peekaboo. Lil Majin knows how to use different king attacks and combos in different situations
yeah, hes garbage, does like no damage and takes the most skill or at least top 3. hes totally unbalanced, it takes a tekken pro to be half way decent with him
So 2 players just kick and punch, how boring. It's a good thing there's combo breakers so you can't get hit, well it doesn't say how many times. But ya.
