templeboards i hope you read this. is there a possibility you can make some with a longer screw there are pedals like the RevivalDRIVE Compact who have risers beneed them... and a pedal like that you want one your board.....
The adhesive is specifically designed to not go anywhere (unless you want it to)... but also be temporary and removable. I can remove a pedal plate from a pedal every time without damaging the pedal's finish whatsoever. The adhesive cleans off the pedal and you can't tell anything was ever on there.
I mean really you can say that about any adhesive solution. If people are complaining about the pedal plates adhesive, they should also be complaining about velcro. It would be very sweet if someone created a non-adhesive solution with some sort of clamping system or something. Unfortunately pedals come in all shapes and sizes, and I'm not sure that would be feasible
I removed two of the plates from a Cioks power supply and there was no damage to the lettering on the PS. I used 20# fishing line and sawed through the adhesive/foam on the plates. Naptha (lighter fluid) to remove some of the stubborn adhesive on the PS which did not damage the paint. It was a real PITA to get the adhesive off the plates. For the going price of $5 per plate I would just buy new ones next time. I don't use the plates on pedals, instead I use 3M Command strips. For the pedal board that stays in the practice room I use Blue-Tack which holds surprisingly well.
MY BAD !! I see Temple Audio has changed their Quick Release Plates! I am sorry, they look good and we can squeeze everything tighter! Public apology! Looks good.
