This vid is better today than it was a year ago. Some guys climbed a lot, some fell a lot. Love hearing about where they were -1 year before the draft.
Slafkovsky is more Jaromir Jagr than Rick Nash. The way he protects the puck and passes the puck, he doesn't score too much, needs to improve his finishing. He is not pure power forward despite his size.
I think that Shane Wright is a franchise level player but more of an all-around player but Lambert is more dynamic offensively and when are you going to do your 2023 draft rankings, I know the draft is in 2 years but the hype surrounding it is insane
I think that Shane Wright is a better all round player than Lambert and from what a saw at the worlds 18 there was no comparison ! Wright is also pure captain material !
I dont see Wright with the same pace he had his first junior year, also the fact he did'nt play last year, isnt it curious? He's like having a sunday sunny ride on the ice, not acting on defensive threat, his play is making me upset, he's not acting like a first overall pick, he have no pace.
McGroaty better hands than Corey Perry? Man Corey Perry has some of the best hands of all time. I like McGroaty a lot but you were overselling him. I think he’ll go around 10-14th.
@@tadeashudak9092 I don’t expect him to fall out of the top 10 because of his world Junior showing (even though two of the three games were against Austria and Germany) but I don’t expect it to vault him back into the top 3.. his numbers in Liiga are just too concerning.
Heiskanen is a better comparable for Nemec. Because his offense is close to non existent and his defense is much better I think Karlsson is a poor comparable.
He has some offense. I think Heiskanen is not really great comparable either, I see more Roman Josi in him and also needs to work on shot accuracy quite a bit
@@dillon6320 I mean he had some offensive flashes at world juniors but strugles to show them in mens league. His game is pure defence and transition plus powerplay. He is starting to join rushes so maybe he will have offensive breakout season. But I don't see it happening anytime soon. Still safest pick of the draft in my opinion.
Wow, all I can say is wow when it comes to your "scouting" report on Savoie (pronounced: Sa-voi). Savoie is a lock imo for a spot in the top 3. Savoie in the USHL = 21-17-38 pts in 34 games thats literally a 0.62 goals per game (which would be like a 51 goal pace in 82 games). Pts per game = Savoie = 1.12 pts per game Cronin = 1.10 pts per game Halliday = 0.92 pts per game Thrun = 0.92 pts per game Buyalsky = 0.89 pts per game Goals per game = Savoie = 0.62 goals per game Cronin = 0.58 goals per game Dzhaniyev = 0.37 goals per game Fletcher = 0.36 goals per game Buyalsky = 0.33 goals per game so Savoie led his team in pts per game and goals per game as a 16 yo rookie, (but I guess he didnt wow you for some strange reason) Savoie so far in the WHL in 21-22 = 6-12-18 pts in 14 games thats a 0.86 assists per game (which would be like a 71 assist pace in 82 games), and a 1.29 pts per game (which is like putting up 106 pts in 82 games). Matthew Savoie = - Soft great Hands - Offensive skill is remarkable - Able to beat defenders one-on-one - Amazing playmaking ability - Amazing Hockey vision and IQ - Lethal and decisive shot, with a good one-time and backhander - Excellent Speed and agility - He can also play a hard, edgy and agitating game that keeps opponents off balance. - good instincts in cutting off lanes and forcing turnovers with his stick. in case you are wondering: McGroarty in 21-22 so far = 5-7-12 pts in 11 games (a 0.45 goals per game, 0.64 assists per game, 1.09 pts per game) Savoie in 21-22 so far = 6-12-18 pts in 14 games (a 0.43 goals per game, 0.86 assists per game, 1.29 pts per game) Wright in 21-22 so far = 4-6-10 pts in 9 games ( a 0.44 goals per game, 0.67 assists per game, 1.11 pts per game) So you are completely wrong with your "report" on Savoie. Savoie at worst will be like William Nylander, at best Nathan Mackinnon. Also you have never heard of Logan Cooley have you? so far Cooley has 9-10-19 pts in 16 games (0.56 g/gp, 0.63 a/gp, 1.19 pts/gp). I think you are overrating Lambert a lot much, because by the way you talking about it him, its like you never watched McDavid play hockey in the NHL or when he was in the OHL. Lambert will be good, by god do you overhype when considering that Savoie is the better prospect. My top 5 (of Nov. 5th 2021): 1 - Savoie 2 - Wright 3 - Cooley 4 - Miroshnichenko 5 - Yurov my lower 5 = 6 - Lambert 7 - Nemec 8 - Ty Nelson 9 - Jiricek 10 - Casey I suggest watching some Cooley, Yurov and Savoie highlights then coming back and realising why you were wrong putting McGroarty higher then both of them.
