you know that Vampire Survivors is not an original game either right? Vampire : Survivors ( released in 2022 ) is inpired in a game that came out before it , called Magic Survival ( released in 2021 ) , before that there was also other game that tried to attempt the same format way back in 2014 called Bardbarian . Bardbarian started the idea , Magic Survival did it sucessfully , Vampire Survivors made it popular . So as you can see Vampire Survivors is also a stolen idea

They should have put these resources into Temtem itself and expanded on the world of Temtem. It was an amazing game, especially with the co-op feature. My best friend and I played through the whole game together. Really wish they came out with expansions but instead they let it die.

While I agree with the content stagnation going on in TemTem, I doubt this game actually takes a lot to make. On top of this I would guess the devs wanna make something else for a change. To me this mostly looks like a break for the devs, while also expanding their IP

@''Big change'' aka just more cosmetic, or casino, or small lil content activity, but nothing link to what actually matter, aka new temtems/gear to keep pvp fresh. They did say no new Tems, no new islands. Also if as a gamedev studio you are prone to getting sick of your games, maybe focus on single player, mmo with life long support probly not for you. (ps i still think its a lazy excuse, inside the same game there is probly much diff stuff you can do /add that would feel like you are working on something diffrent + as some point just go work on something else and put new people there, idk thats how every other type of compagny do things.

I remember the hype of every new content drop... dozens of people standing on the same place, waiting for the game to go down so the patch could go live... and now the game is basically dead, the community is fractured... and instead of new expansion we get this? Sure, I am not the dev of the game... they are free to do what they want and follow their passion. But I can see one of the best communities I was ever part of dying... and that makes me sad.

@@miqotelover idk, most people say yes, but i'm still hyped for one day buying the game once i get the proper console (i only have a macos laptop and a switch lite with no space for the apparently existing switch version) , and after a short while now i'm actually hyper for temtem swarms, like is it gonna have a story mode, is it like pokemon unite, will the game have a macos release, will it be free to download, so many questions and so much hype, and tbh i mostly like temtem cuz of the customization and housing systems that comes with the already unique and interesting gameplay, so i myself would say that it just has a loud majority of people who are not satisfied with the current content, but im with the probably non-existent minority that loves the game nonetheless

We have been in the exact same state for the past 6 months. So i started temtem about 5 days ago i know im late, but the game is marvelous the graphics the combat the inclusiveness the mature yet still aproachable story. It pains me to see the stop of updates after 1.8 and before hitting 2.0 So i gotta say i hope after you release this game you consider looking back at TemTem and maybe continuing it its so much better than Pokemon for me. Just a prayer to the Downbelow. ❤

this looks awesome, i played temtem when it released and i havent been back because of time and honestly other games, but this looks cool. with what im reading did the devbeloper abandon Temtem? I would think this would be a side project, (this wouldnt take that long with the resources and assets they already have.) i dont think they would abandon their original game, that would be really stupid. However this still looks great.

Temtem started out great but it feels like they're not even listening to player feedback anymore. Nobody asked for this and who wants it? If you dont want to make new temtem then at least make dungeon type content in which you go through battles or wild temtem with high stats to get rewards or better a chance at battling a variant of an old temtem with new design, colors etc and even a special move known only by it. I havent played temtem since 2 years ago and I would if only they allowed for multiple save slots since I dont want reset my progress.

except Magic Survival is the first game of this genre , so Vampire Survivor is another Magic Survival . ANd Magic Survival took the main concept from a game called Bardbarian . In 2014 Bardbarian attempted to do this but technology was more limited and the game concept wasn't succesfull , in 2021 Magic Survival took the concept and improved it and made it what it is today , and in 2022 Vampire Survivors inspired by Magic Survival made the concept popular

I straight up feel battlewise Temtem is substantially better than pokemon. The stamina system is genius, the balance is very close with everything, didn't feel like there was a power creep, fairly difficult campaign with AI that spikes in tactics and prepare you well for competitive. Creature design is lacking a bit, but most are serviceable, and I found myself enjoying the tems I didn't love at first for their abilities and movesets. That being said, the greatest aspect for me was co-op. The grinding is annoying but doing it with someone else was great, then you beat the game and it's over. No more co-op battles, you can't even do the gym rebattles together. No battle tower, no additional formats, no rebattling trainers, you're left with an empty world with no post game content whatsoever. No additional support for years on it, then they announce the last thing anyone asked for. The least they could do is a sequel, but Crema is fully tone-deaf to the community. All-in-all I felt I got $40 worth of game after two playthroughs, but I'm left wondering why they couldn't utilize all the great systems they already had for a rewarding post-game, plus now the devs have abandoned the game completely. I won't be buying whatever this is, but it's sad to know that a nearly perfect pokemon competitor could drop the ball so hard

Do we really need another Survivor/reverse-bullet-hell game? And how much is this going to cost? Most of these games are free/unlock all with just a few bucks. This is the wrong type of game to cash in on, imo. Cremo probably needs the bucks to work on their next project, but i hope this was a quick fun time for the devs and not a several years-long project.

It looks fun, and I would like to be excited but I don't trust crema. Temtem, a monster tamer, being fully online is so dumb. Who wants to hunt luma when they can be taken from you when the servers shut down. Also, how poorly they treat their player base makes me less excited for temtem swarm. If crema listens to their community properly maybe fans would be more excited than they are.

This looks like fun, and I honestly don't know why people are complaining so much. Other Pokémon-likes had a base game and never added any new monsters or places to go and you don't see their communities ripping into them. Because the game was sold as an “Mmo” with an extensive early access period that actually happened to be the only time the game really even felt like an “MMo”. Only for us to finally get to 1.0 “included micro-transactions/battle passes/1 end game area that only added more pvp”. And a little over a year after launch they abandon the game with the promise to add the arcade bar “promised feature from the kickstarter” as an apology. Then the CEO goes and attacks the TemTem community and whines about why they can’t make new TemTem content but can continue to waste dev resources on spin-offs. The devs can do what they want, sure. But not when they bankroll themselves on a promise that’s severely underdelivered while expecting to continue to milk the community.

Haven't played Temtem in a year. This game looks good, but I won't touch it. I have no respect for killing your games cause there are better opportunities. Financially speaking, this game should be a success. It's what people want to play right now. Ideally, the Devs would have used this new Game to make money and bolster the Temtem community. Maybe announce they will reduce the work they put into Temtem temporarily, but not to kill off the game.

Ok so while this looks amazing, I really would’ve loved this included in the Arcade Bar in Temtem. As someone who bought the game at day 1, I would love to help financially support the game but I struggle to find the way to. I encourage any Crema devs reading to look at TF2, FFXIV, and other longtime games that generate a lot of revenue. Temtem is an amazing game and I still ser a path to success. I will be purchasing Swarm as I would like to see Crema do well.

I don't understand why this has so many downvotes at all. It seems like people are complaining about TemTem not having enough updates in it but as someone who chucked 70 hours into TemTem JUST ON THE MAIN STORY alone, and haven't even touched the post game content yet, TemTem already feels MASSIVE and like a very long and full game. This looks fun, too. It cashes in on the mystery dungeon appeal of playing as the mons/tems themselves while also being all about one of TemTem's greatest features, the wonderful battle/attack animations. I guess people are upset because TemTem was supposed to be like a forever lasting MMORPG? But the game already feels massive.. and didn't the 1.6 drop not long ago? And more updates are on the way still?

Jeeze, the comments section is just roasting the Devs, calm down folks. Bullet hells aren’t a genre that I particularly enjoy, but this does look like it could be a fun time. It’s great that multiplayer is a focus too! I think a lot of the backlash is stemming from the love of Temtem and the hope that more will come in the main game. I’m right there with that crowd; I had a memorable experience with my friend co-oping through the game. I played my fair share of competitive and spent hours breeding and hunting lumas. It was great, and I always hold out hope that maybe they’ll revisit their word and expand the main game with more islands and Tems. But that’s just it; Crema was VERY clear about their vision from the start of Kickstarter. They said outright that *this* was the amount of Tems to expect, and *this* is the amount of islands we will make. They fulfilled their goals. You can’t get up in arms over that. No one owes you anything. I personally am glad Temtem has been given all the love it has and am grateful for the space it provided for me and a friend to spend quality time together. While I’ll always want more Tems and islands to explore, while I’m always hopeful that they’ll announce an expansion, I’m just happy to have what they provided. If they want to go a different route, that’s ok too. I hope it’s successful. I mean, anything with the Temtem brand that becomes successful is never a bad thing! That benefits everyone, both players and Devs. Thanks for all the memories, Crema! Hoping Swarm pans out well!

While I understand a lot of the points you made, a lot of the outrage is justified. They essentially went radio silent for months and then all of a sudden after releasing an incredibly lack luster update they announce a new game they've been working on. They delete Criticism on the Discords and forums and such. And what's even more staggering is that they've delayed the Arcade Bar twice. Something that was supposed to be added WAY earlier in the game.

Kinda funny how both Temtem and Deep Rock Galactic released this type of game within a week of each other. Looks fun. *Edit* Well the DRG was was released. Looks like this one is coming out later in the year.
