You're right, a lot of things that people say about the newer Zelda games are always "this character/setting will return!". They are obsessed with theorizing and putting everything in a timeline, even when that isn't something the developers intend to do with the stories in their games.

To be fair, some of the things I've seen in the past are *leagues* better than anything Nintendo's ever come up with. Same with some fanfiction and many a game's modding community. Also Pokemon. Fans have a tendency to create vastly superior things than the original devs at times. And after 3 decades of stale-ass samey Zelda storytelling, I don't particularly blame people all that much for wanting a change. Mechanically, Tears of the Kingdom was astounding. Narratively? It was a *GRAVE* disappointment. Frankly, Ganondorf's Demon King form proves Nintendo is aware of the many theories and playing into them to fuel sales as well. It's not as if they're innocent of the matter.

Major Link’s series touches light on this! Man, I was hoping for something like that where Ganondorf, in truth, wants to use the triforce, or in this case, secret stones, to put an end to the cycle. This puts Zelda and Link in a situation where they don’t know what’s right; especially with Botw Zelda who expressed multiple times about not wanting to follow her duty; hell, she calls her power a curse.

only the Ocarina of Time / Windwaker incarnation is more tragic, this incarnation got defeated once and then returned after he broke the seal on him, this time the Gods themselves had to intervene. And this might have made Ganondorf feel abandoned by the Gods which would explain his more remorseful and less evil behavior. In every other Scenario he stays the same (maybe a bit more cocky Because of the "Divine Prank" that makes him think that he is choosen by the Gods to rule Hyrule) or he turns even more evil when his Power got to its peak in A Link to the Past. This Ganondorf in Tears of the Kingdom is proven to be a whole new incarnation with new motives. He doesnt yearn for living in a less harsh enviroment, instead he is a Man that loves to dominate others both politically and in Physical Combat. He is a Bloodthirsty man that loves to show his power and fighting everyone to demonstrate his strength. But then some furry gods came with their "lame" ideas of Peace and Order and this pisses him off

Ganondorf cannot be good, he is the evil reincarnation, a good ganondorf would not be ganondorf... Also it wouldnt make sense since the figure fought ganon .... Ganon cant fight himself I dont know why so many need every evil guy in fiction a tragic figure who only want to be good...

Sadly Ganondorf is already the Ultimate Threat, the Ultimate Champion of Darkness, it would be unlikely Nintendo would make something like in Mario RPG

Well, they did kinda team up in Smash 3's Adventure Mode, however this isnt really Canon unfortunally.

More to the point it just wouldn't ever happen truly. There's no reality where it would outside of delusional fanfiction thinking Ganondorf is secretly a misunderstood tragic sad boy. Which he's not.

While TOTK’s story is solid I have a LOT of problems.

From an external story perspective, I can absolutely see OOT's influences running deep in TOTKs story. I see some people deny that and it kind of baffles me. - Andy (Red Link)

I think from an In-Universe perspective, it would tie into the idea of Demise's curse forcing them to re-live it over and over again throughout history. Eventually the repeated cycles of rebirth, corruption, redemption, and then death are going to start to become repetitive, in a way.

Well technically it takes place in all timelines I guess? Because in the depths you can find the outfits of past links from all 3 timelines Hero set- downfall Wind set- adult Time, Twilight, and fierce deity child

Unfortunately all logic is thrown out when it comes to fan favorites. People just have too much personal connection to these things to care to prepare themselves for it not happening lol

Nintendo tends to not re-tread the same ground/themes in their games so I do think the Twili and the Twilight Realm will (likely) stay forever locked to Twilight Princess, but sometimes I wish Nintendos remasters/remakes (TPHD, WWHD, Oot3D, etc) would add more details and whatnot to relatively unexplored/undeveloped areas like the actual Twilight Realm and the Palace of Twilight. Would be super cool to see those expanded on past what the Gamecube/Wii were limited to at the time. - Andy (Red Link)

It was hilarious seeing a lot of theorists backtracking on themselves after the leaks without being able to say why. Then people decided Sonia was Hylia to the point where she was the top image result on Google for Hylia...

the fact the Secret Stones are called Secret Stones, and the Dragon's Tears are called Dragon's Tears, kinda leaves nothing up to interpretation, it's pretty clear which of the 2 the title is referring to

My theory, with no back-up whatsoever, is that the era of Rauru and Sonia actually takes place several generations after Skyward Sword, and before Minish Cap. It's clear that they lived a looooong time before the calamity 10,000 years ago.

Since Demise is the progenitor of all monsters it makes sense that Ganondorf inherited Demises hatred and powers considering the fact that Ganondorf can spawn monsters and control them. He even looks similar to Demise in his enhanced form.

Warriors being backed by Nintendo so strongly as a prequel to BotW means Warriors is "canonish". Not to BotW or TotK of course because the timeline would change because of what happens in Warriors. BotW and TotK would have never happened by the Warriors point of view. So it has its own seperate timeline different from the main series.

TOTK has Zelda going back in time. This is a time loop, meaning it needs to happen for the past to be true. In AOC, Zelda would never travel back in time, so the past would not occur as it should, so the present would change. Basically, Terrako caused the destruction of a timeline

Entirely speculatively, the Imprisoning War still could ostensibly have happened without Zelda being present, but all of this depends on one's fictional logic to how time travel works, which the _Zelda_ series has never been consistent about... especially _Age of Calamity._ Also Ganondorf's seal is said to have been disrupted because of the Calamity though it's not clear if that was 100 years ago or more recently. An interesting premise we'll likely never see is Ganondorf awakening in the AoC timeline either while the Champions are still alive, or still 100 years later where Mipha would likely be the only one alive.

At the very least having the memories transformed into 5-15 minute sections we play and move around as Zelda in would have been pretty cool.

I have zero questions about AHA. It's a hint that OoT timeline is pretty conclusively dead, and we now live the era of Fujibaverse, much more rooted in Fujibayashi's games: Oracles, 4Swords, Minish Cap, Phantom Hourglass, SS, and POSSIBLY Majora's Mask, if he's the elsuive figure they were joking Happy Mask Salesman to be based on among the staff. Since he worked at Capcom but was only a year away from directing Oracles, it could be that they were playfully razzing on him going on about his game ideas. And lo, now we have all these "characters of the past" wearing masks, following up the Wind Waker lesson that we SHOULD let old treasures die, and make up our new world. It's perfectly in line with Nitnendo's ethos against story-focus, and jokes like giving completionists a golden turd. Here's what I think AHA is. It is similar representative of the players as The Hero's Spirit. Rauru is an ancient hero like Link, who is likened to the Rabbit of Oki, who tricked sharks and had to have his fur recovered by Okuninushi. I think that's what Sonia did: Rauru and Mineru WERE dragonified, and Sonia helped them retain their personality, or actually my theory is she helped them awaken a new one despite being dragons, as a buddhist rebirth. Yiga worship dragon transformation with their masks because they are the warlike people who didn't learn from the fall of the Zonai. The sages wear masks because they belong in the past, and going to war, being affected by the Secret Stones, signals your upcoming demise as you live by the sword and die by the sword. It's a ceremony to "losing yourself" like dragonification. Even if you won't die, you will become like a Lynel, which admittedly is foreshadowed in non-Fujibayashi games' Link turning into a rabbit ora wolf.

You're forgetting the part where the only real thing Madisson carries over is the hair. Gerudo themselves say the Gerudo genes are stronger and override whatever parent type the dad is. Therefore a Zonai Gerudo child if it even happened would still be more human looking than zonai. Its also not impossible to have Hylians with red hair if the hair is your somehow driving force behind the Hero aspect being Gerudo. Look at Groose.

@@DarkLordTalon Im forgetting? Nah, but why does it have to stop with hair? We see plenty of differing skin tones, and other variants of traits. But even then, Ganondorf himself is repeatedly shown to have a completely different skin color from the rest of the Gerudo (not just tone). But again, i am not stating this as proof of it being him, I am stating it as a variable that still makes it possible. even if it is .1%, that still means it is not debunked, just highly unlikely.

That tradition didn't start till the Zelda in Zelda 2 was put in a permanent sleep. If my assumption is true that Sonia lived just a few generations after Skyward Sword, then that was thousands of years before that ever became a formal tradition.

@@video-luver769 That Zelda happens after the myriad of other Zelda's that came before her in the timeline though... Technically the first would be Skywards. Or somewhere between Skyward and Minish Cap.

He does reincarnate tho, in FSA Ganondorf was the reincarnation of TP Ganondorf. I agree with your other points.

@@sarenarterius6217 They don't make any theories, but rather point out things that coincidence between them. For example, they talk about how some patterns found in walls, items, and clothes for the wind tribe, some twilight artifacts, ooccas, one of the towers in WW, and zonai is the same. The only difference is that they are redrawn to fit the style of the game. There's definitely a connection between all of them, but they don't theorize too much on it.

Sounds like the comment of an angry theorizer that had their theories debunked to me
