I’d say getting the perfect players for the perfect price is never going to happen, risk is necessary and players that have come in just aren’t quite at the level to dominate in the premier league. I’d back him for one more season, get some new signings and see how the season goes. come back mid season and re evaluate.

I understand that when a team is underperforming that ultimately the manager is the one to blame. But to be honest/fair, Manchester United has been underperforming for several managers now. You can't fully blame Erik for Manchester's misery. People will say: "Well, he bought certain players for 100 + million, he should know the quality of these players". Partially true. I know Anthony is definitely not worth 100 million, but he was playing amazingly at Ajax. Sometimes players click well with certain teams, sometimes they don't. It's always a gamble. But certain key players that have been with United for a long time should've stood up and back their manager(s). Again, I'm not a fan boy of Erik, but this teams crisis is not fully on him. Maybe they should go back to the old ways. If you underperform and not give it your all, take away their income for the game.
