I always believed the 01-03 4.0 V8 oldsmobile auroras would make a great sleeper if there was any aftermarket support for it.

I wouldn't call them good sleepers. They cant take much power before things start breaking. And they weigh 5000lb and come with only 200-240hp.

@@cheeko_914 it's 302 horsepower 318 ft lb of torque. and there a little over four thousand pounds not 5😂 where'd you get your info from the Cracker Jack box😏 and yes you can supercharge them I've owned 11 five of them supercharger on stock engines making about 440 hp to the wheels and they run and drive great. I've beat on them several times now. Guess what still going strong. Know your facts or don't comment it's just ignorant.

Just think if everyone adhered to your train of thought. How many cool cars would not exist if the builder thought " I will not blend the best parts of different cars to make a cool one" No Pantara, no Delorean and most importantly one of the coolest cars of all time, no Shelby Cobra. My point is that is hot rodding pure and simple, taking the best of different cars and making one. When Ford starts sending me sponsorship checks I will stick to their product until the bitter end. I was at a local QM a couple of weeks ago and a guy had a 70 Nova running pro-charged 5.0 Coyote, making mid 10 sec. passes yet he was jerred and heckled for his engine choice. The GM crowd has a double standard when it come to brand heresy, keep a Chevy in a Chevy, but a Chevy in anything else is just hot rodding. But you're right, it's your money......

Where do you see I am a GM crowd person? If they heckled him then they are assholes plain and simple. I am in the "I don't give a shit what you think" crowd. If a guy wants to put a Ford in a Chevy more power to him, I appreciate the fact he isn't following the "rules." I am not interested in a Coyote engine, not big enough. Yes It can make great HP....up top. I want low end torque with a good midrange and that takes displacement. The only thing Ford offers in a modern large engine is the 6.2L in the Raptor and I am not ready yet to give an arm and a leg for one of those engines. I hear it from my GM friends also, how could I "ruin" a Chevy motor by putting it in a Ford. It's easy. The Ford to me looks better and is more modern then any GM rear drive sedan and the GM motor is easier to get power out of and much larger inside and smaller outside. So now I have a cool modern easy to find parts for car with a cool modern easy to find parts for engine in it.

cowboysnation1995 a cold air intake, throttle body, long tube headers, a street cam, x pipe with Magnaflow mufflers, a 180 t stat, a oil separator, ngk iridum ix spark plugs, and a custom tune, those would be the basics, they work bud.

Do what the Hemi guy says, then dyno it. You might not need to change the internals.

Shane Marcotte it's a 4v 4.6 dohc. It was only available on a few top of the line packages. 2003 Mustang GT made 260hp with a 4.6 2v The 2003 Mach 1 Mustang with this 4v made 60 more horsepower (320). It only came in 03-04 mustang Mach 1 edition, Mercury Marauder, and Lincoln aviator.

+jorge villarreal supercharge it. look up turktech. and get a 03-04 cobra eaton m112. then a tune and you will love it. or go 4.10 rear gears and sct 91 tune. but supercharged is king.
