Great video Kris. Trying to decide on my next Tanuki as we speak…loving the 325. Can’t decide between the Ninja and one of the pocket ninja

Thanks. The 325 is great, but I think the 350 is the sweet spot for the Tanukis actually.

Obviously the pocket ninjas have a portability advantage (I have several as you know), but as I’ve said several times, I’m biased toward the “regular” rods when it comes to fishing and feel.

@@tenkaraonthetrail I just snagged a 350 Ninja based on your reviews and from first casts in the yard it is sweet for sure. I'm anxious for a warm day that I am off from work to put the first bend in it.

Is there something comparable to the tanuki golden trout? My 5:5 Quattro will be my small stream and small fish rod but I have heard that is an incredible small fish rod

Yes, the golden trout is very fun. The closest “American” rod would be the Quattro or the foxfire. There are some very good small Japanese rods for little fish but they aren’t zoom rods, such as the hakubai. The kurenai would be another.
