davy was the best country singer in britain prior to his death & there has never been one as good since then, geordie's good very good but not as good as davy was
This brings back so many memories for me. I was at school in Dornoch Academy with Davy in the early sixties and he had such an amazingly intuitive grasp of the guitar (I don't think he ever had a lesson in his life, it just came naturally) I used to hang out with him and Billy May after school, just jamming and practising. I remember I bought his red Hofner guitar (a Les Paul copy) off him when he bought his new Hofner Futurama. Our ways parted after that, lovely to see him again here.
As some one said, we had some great nights of music and fun with these guys and Mustang, oftem remin..remun, look back on passed nights running on stage with metal mickey on my back, and tony looking daggers at use, but wow what times, why dont the good times last !!!!
