Loved the outtakes at the end. Super intense workout / drills. Especially Alex floating around the court, lots of ground covered, I was wondering during the video what he felt like afterward... you guys came through and showed us at the end. Remember, "pain is weakness leaving the body"! Well done boys!

It feels like all the tennis topics have been covered to death in the tennis instructional youtube world but havent heard anyone tackle this one. Could you do a video on how to identify your opponents grip (continental, eastern, semiwestern and western) from across the court. I cant seem to figure out what my opponents grip is from so far away - so maybe some tips or tricks to quickly identify the grips they are using on say on groundstrokes, volleys, overheads and serve. Then relate it to what the inherent advantages/disadvantages of that grip is so you can come up with a gameplan as to how to better attack them based on that information. Love the channel. Thanks!

Really useful. These are real match situations. And, I think that the choice to rely solely on visuals is a winner. Also, due to there being only limited commentary, I've been able to pass it on to a French tennis partner (I live in France) and suggest we do a couple of these drills during the warm-up. I have trouble dealing with the high and deep shots to my backhand and the low, hard and deep shots to either side.

Hello Simon and Alex. I am Daniel, a tennis follower living in Munich. What would you recommend for this quarentine time when only running is allowed. I go running with a friend of mine who is also your follower, and we would like to know what you recommend : long runs with moderate pace, or sprints...anyway: any running routine to get ready for the season? Thanks!!
@TopTennisTrainingOfficial
@TopTennisTrainingOfficial 3 года назад
Hi Daniel For tennis, interval training is the best. When I was competing I would do intervals 2-3x per week and one long run. The intervals were normally 30/30 or 20/10 depending on the surface. The long run was 2-3 hours, 10-15 miles. Those were the days I lived and breathed training 🤣 I struggle with an hour run these days. All the best Simon

Question about the drop shot. Is it the exact same technique as the slice and you gradually take pace off at the end of the swing?
@TopTennisTrainingOfficial
@TopTennisTrainingOfficial 3 года назад
If you set up to hit the drop shot using the slice preparation, it’s similar. However, if you’re trying to disguise it, the shot will be very different. We have a drop shot lesson on the way 👍

Hey sir simon and sir alex I have a question that we should cover the court with heels to toes or from toes to toes
@TopTennisTrainingOfficial
@TopTennisTrainingOfficial 3 года назад
It depends on the footwork patterns you are using, there will be a time to use heal to toe and another time to move on the balls of your feet. Important to work on both 👍 All the best Simon
