Ok, gonna put this here as a warning to people considering MSF, but DO NOT PLAY MARVEL STRIKE FORCE. Even before it got sold to a Saudi company (which means it's funding a society of various human rights abuses), the game is by far the MOST player-unfriendly there is. Even putting aside the fact you have to put together whole new teams to do 3 missions at a time (and you don't even leave the early game for literal months), there's NO positive experience here. For people who are fine paying, the amount of people who can comfortably pay $10'000s a month just to stay at PARITY is too much for 98% of the world, while the game stagnates for half a year at a time, making NO PROGRESS whatsoever when you're free to play. This game is by far the WORST offender of frustration marketing I've ever seen - and this is from someone who's unemployable and lives on benefits. I have LITERALLY NOTHING to do with my time but play games, write stories and hang out with family. This is so bad that its own hugest Krakens and content creators (people who spend literally MILLIONS a month) are repeatedly abandoning ship (the most significant of which being Tadano Mac, who earned from one of the LARGEST suppliers of Cranes in the world and spent millions of dollars a month, but just couldn't put up with the game any more, even with over half a decade of time invested - look up the story). There's even characters made like "Community Manager WHYP" (Whale Harder You Peasants) trying to make light of how horrible this game is to your wallet and your enjoyment. No hate to Joseph or anything for taking the sponsorship, he will have had no way to know any of this. However, the only thing anyone who gets into this game will find is misery, from aggravation at being stuck in the SAME place for nearly a year while everyone around you is progressing and/or from your bank account screaming under the duress this game puts on you.
They Did the same hecking mistake with dinowrestler and Dinowrestlers was a anew deck in link format by other means this deck released when there was a good deck Konami just was afraid because dinowrestler can use generic Dino support so they said let's f@ck it@@artisticcannibalism1350
Low key im so excited for tenpai, me and a friend decided that we're gonna duel each other irl so we've gotta actually build decks and i was gonna pick up ashened but honestly im probably gonna try and build this or raika
Why are you not siding heat have and dimension shifter? Any 2 Tenpai cards OTK under shifter and if you use it going first you don’t even need to worry. Heatwave is just a 1 card blowout. You activate it and you win.
@@sirknightjcb9310 not quite, Gimmick Puppets can at least be impermed. and unlike Tenpai, they have important effects in the hand, so they can be Ashed at that point because the field spell only protects your monsters on field
It's either that or floodgates. Recent Flame Swordsman Support was an exception. The "oops no interaction for you button" is sure to make something strong. Fun to play against is the other question.
"What if we make Miscellaneousaurus, but way better and keep it Limited despite Dinos not having done anything in 5 years and banning most of its end board".
Right? I really hope the game eventually just moves away from the "just say no to your opponents cards" style of play and a little more back to actually just smashing decks against each other.
What's even funnier about this TMT is that MBT doesn't even do the "...for well over lethal" bit because literally every board that goes beyond two monsters in this deck _is_ well beyond lethal damage. Something something 37,400, something something battle fader.
so for those who are on a budget for Tenpai, Trident Dragion isn't 100% needed, but you do miss out on the max damage output the deck provides. Dis Pater also isn't needed, but Blackwinged Assault Dragon is a good cheaper alternative to it. Burns opponent and dark holes if needed.
Ruddy Rose Dragon is also a nice option in matchups that you need to banish the graveyards, its also nice to force out promethean princess grave effect only for you to negate it and summon black rose
Assault Dragon also has a specific combo where you get it out for free by sending Black-Winged Dragon to the GY then banishing it along with Bident from the GY to fulfill Assault Dragon's alternate summoning condition.
Joseph 4 months ago: "These cards are dogshit." Joseph now: "These cards are good!" Im not gonna rake him over the coals for it because even Joshua Schmidt didnt think they were anything fancy, but its still funny to see things change anyway Melodious TMT :)
@@nikolajovanovic1850I agree you shouldn't take the words of any single player no matter how good they are as gospel but he's respected for good reason
Fun fact, Trident Dragion is technically a signer dragon, the protag of one of the 5ds DS games (i think reverse of arcadia) is revealed to be the last signer and their dragon is Trident Dragion
You weren't a Signer. You were given the complete mark after you beat Rex the first time. The Crimson Dragon selected you over him. Then the mark fades and you receive nothing. This is Reverse of Arcadia (2010). The game you are thinking about with Dragion is Beyond the Nexus (2011). That one you end up talking Crow's spot after his wreck and you have to fight all 3 of the Illiaster people. You just had a Stone Slab sent to you that gave you 3 cards. The Stone Slabs were very significant in the show with only Yusei and Jakob getting them. Trish, Dragion, and Decisive Armor were the cards unlocked to you. In all of the games, the only one you were a "Signer" was Stardust Accelerator (2009). The mark was a fake since Rex was struggling to find all the Signers. Said game also had you fight the Meta at the time. Plant Synchro and TeleDAD in a Survival Style Boss Fight (You had to fight 5 Clones of you).
@@emeliajones1795 You are welcome. Honestly, that series was my favorite and I still play them from time to time. It's a pretty big shame we most likely aren't going to get a game like those ever again. The closest was Tag Force Special (I'm not counting that horrible 3DS title we got because they cut so much content out of it) but it was paled in comparison.
Man, loved Trident when it launched, but even for the synchro era it was too restrictive and the destruction effect almost impossible to pull out. Great to see it having the proper time to shine now.🎉
HUGE realization! Sangenpai Transcendent Dragion is so much more broken than we realize. At first glance it seems maybe only good in tenpai but get this. Decks that Mae Crimson Dragon have a pretty easy time making synchro 10s. Which means he can easily be cheated out of the extradeck without the specific materials. Now consider his effect, " your opponent cannot activate cards or effects during the battle phase." This completely shuts off Evenly Matched. Mind you, he is easy to cheat out. Meaning synchro spam decks have one less board breaker to worry about. GG mates. It was good while it lasted.
Make Seal out of 2 tenpai. On opponents turn use it and summon Green. Green gets red out of the grave and make the 7 in bp. 7 effect to revive a LV 3. Effect to synchro into the 10
I feel like this archtype was designed for me; my first ulti pull when I was a kid was 1st Ed Trident Dragion, and I've kept it safe and in good condition ever since
just throwing this out there. this is the Archetype Konami is releasing to celebrate the year of the Dragon, last time this happened 12 years ago on Feb. 8 2012 with the Galactic Overlord set which was during the XYZ/Zexal era and the set that celebrated that year of the dragon was Hieratics. feel old yet folks? so do I! 😂
@@Jokoko2828 indeed, their pack was Galactic Overlord which released Feb 8 2012 12 years have passed since then and in the decade the game went from XYZ to Pendulum to Link to Rush and now this
Since this deck seems like it’s genuinely going to be a meta contender instead of a gimmick I wonder if it’s going to give Purrely a boost since Big Noir can just spin the field spell then sit unaffected in defense mode with now two delicious under it.
i mean it was basically everyone, till we read the unaffected part, and Fmg steps only where no affects can be activates exept thos who modulate dmg...... So it was basically rulings making deck strong.
I don't think I've ever seen the opponents throw harder on one of these. The Centur-Ion player didn't even try to King Calamity The Branded VV player went Mirrorjade pass. And the Snake-Eye player tunneled in on making Apo even in G3, as well as being on the whole Nemeses shebang without ever being able to actually summon Protos or Colossus, either of which would have beaten Tenpai.
I got back into the game in highschool after being a yugiboomer and started buying up any syncros from my lgs and its random bulk of them, got trident for 50¢ and just fished it out my bulk.
I really want this deck. I love otk decks, and I feel we finally have a fantastic deck with access to tons of board breakers. I wish it was more affordable.
Actually glad to see my old favorite synchro finally get some love, tried so much back in the day when I played to see Trident dragon just smash boards.

To be fair this deck can set up going 1st by summoning Sphere and Crystal Wing by using Ultimaya Tzolkin. Not the best end board, but good enough for a OTK deck. Also, if you know you are going 1st then you can just side in flood gates like Heat Wave to buy you a free turn. The OCG has already figured out the best way to play this deck.
This is really sad to say, but I genuinely wouldn't be surprised if a couple years down the line Tenpai gets support in the form of a fire dragon synchro that prevents the opponent from summoning monsters. I can already see it, opponent has no cards on field, activates battle fader, you quick synchro into this fire dragon and the battle fader whiffs it's effect. (assuming that's how it would actually work, I'm not sure if the battle phase would end anyways)
Guys I know he literally said Tenpai was "awful", "terrible", and "not good at all" two months ago but look! It's still merely the _secondth_ best deck in the format, so if you think about it he was mostly correct
for anyone that doesnt want to drop a ton on trident: you can also play small world instead of prospi, which allows you to avoid using trident way more often than needed due to playing more handtraps and having a bit more utility. Phantazmay happens to be the best bridge card ever printed for tenpai specifically, as they only share the dragon typing and phantazmay has 1800 def- which it shares with every ghost girl handtraps ever printed. the ghost girls being level 3 also allow you to go phantazmay > ghost girl that isnt ash blossom> white dragon or green dragon, or phantazmay > ash blossom > red dragon. Coincidentally, Blaster Dragon Ruler of Infernos *also* has 1800 def, so you can go any level 3 tenpai or phantazmay > any ghost girl not named ash blossom > blaster, or the reverse. You also can play Amorphage Goliath, which can also act as a bridge with veiler or ghost belle, and is an okay target to summon off of seals.
As a mahjong player, I am very disappointed they are no longer Dora. For those who don't know dora titles are bonus tiles in mahjong. Dora is short for Doragon (Dragon). Its based on the western tradition of dragons being powerful and guarding treasure. There are "Dragon" tiles in mahjong, but in Japanese they are actually archery terms. They are only dragons in the west because someone in marketing thought it was sell better.
Just to get into the cons and it's not really a dig as it's likely a discord list, If you were worried about people making you go first after blowing them up in a previous game why would you build a side deck that wasn't floodgate blowout turbo/stuff that helps going first? Yours was just more shite that helps going second
This another format where Branded will be great because they have a good match up with the top 3 other decks? Like just Quem/Sanctifire summon Albaz fuse all away for Alba-Lenatus and then OTK on pass back
Its a bit jarring seeing people who typically scream about how "you dont get to play now", now hype up this deck that doesnt have to play the game at all (with the dragons being towers that can otk through anything and 25 non engine slots).
Wow Trident Dragion. What a random card to suddenly be worth some money. I actually ran a couple of these way back when and I'm pretty sure they're still in my monster binder in my closet.
What do you know, I was right and he had yet another terrible take only to have to show it was wrong without saying he was wrong. It's Sky Striker etc. all over again.
I really appreciate the centurion player actively choosing to not win the game at about 2 different points so mbt can show off the combo, it's about sportsmanship sometimes
I have a single copy of Trident Dragion I got like 4 years ago for a few dollars cause I thought it was cool looking. It's funny to see it worth so much now.
@@burningscorcher well u can do that too. I just feel reprint gonna be quite soon, and u can just sell ur copy now while its high, and buy the reprint ver later. But yea if u wanna play it day 1, its good idea too. Hope u enjoy tenpai 👍
y so many links? the lvl 7 synchro locks u into dragon synchros & personally i find 2 of the green dragons to be enough also it can do 16-32k pretty ez depending on what ur opponent does/has
