Terence Crawford and Errol Spence Jr. have reportedly agreed on terms to fight for the undisputed welterweight championship on July 29 in Las Vegas. It ends years of both fighters not fighting each other after both were the best fighters in the division. No, fighters and promoters look at Floyd and see the amount of money he was able to garner and why. Besides his poloarising personality and his obvious supreme ability, it was his ability to market himself as an invincible fighter that drew so much intrigue and hence revenue (PPV buys). Floyd and his team were all about risk vs reward. They understood the importance of taking the right fights at the right time and not taking unnecessary risks.

No one's claiming that Floyd hasn't fought top fighters you doughnut, but there's been several fighters who he didn't fight (Kasta Tzu, Margarito, Paul Williams, Sergio Martinez) and others that he did fight that were past their best (pacman, Mosley, Judah (fought Judah coming off of a loss). So happy this fight is finally happen, and while both guys are still in their prime. Been a great year for boxing. We've have Plant/Benavidez, Garcia/Tank, Haney/Lomachenko, and in addition to Spence/Crawford, we're also getting Fulton/Inouie. The only thing that would make this year perfect would be if we could get Fury/Usyk and Bivol/Beterbiev.

This is fantastic for the sport. For so many years, it seems that fighters presumed that a loss somehow excludes them from H.O.F. consideration. No matter how this turns out, both will finish their careers in the Hall of Fame. With the rematch clause, we'll be seeing at least two fights, and perhaps a trilogy if they split the first two. This will be historical.

I would have been really excited for this fight 3-4 years ago, but now I'm not as thrilled because of all the drama between the fighters not being able to agree on a match. It has kind of killed my excitement. Also, both fighters are getting older, 35 and 33 years old. It would have been an amazing fight if they had faced each other in their prime. I'm still going to watch it, though.

Did skip just say Errol seems the more talented of the two? It clear he hasn't followed both their careers extensively. Bud is by far the more gifted and verstaile fighter. Can fight both orthodox and southpaw and switch stances seemlessly, plus can box on the back foot, brawl or be a boxer puncher. Not to mention hes arguably the best finisher in the sport too. Defo a pick em fight as spence is also a tremendous fighter.

Yeah Skip is a troll but that’s what gets him the ratings… Crawford is definitely the better boxer but Spence is, taller, younger, and the naturally bigger guy. Still, I wish this fight happened 4 years ago before Spence had all his injuries, and Crawford wasn’t close to the end of his career.

I don't watch a lot of American sports tv apart from boxing, and even then ESPN is not all that popular here in South Africa, but I am surprised by Skip's sanity. I remember during the Mayweather/Pacquio build up and Skip did not look or sound sane at all during those build ups 😂 Man in comparison he seems so calm, analytical, and most of all sane 😂
