"In spite of the fact that we give lip service to the idea of crisis, you know, when was the last time any one of you murdered a rat in an alley in order to get dinner?"
No matter how much, I've listened to Terrance McKenna. There's always something new I haven't heard yet. 21 years later after his death. His message, really made waves.
11 years of listening to McKenna here, he's the most beautiful and wise man to ever live. He truly understood what it means to be human more than anybody before or since. Man was he awesome.
"As always, in the political game, our side gets there second. You know, we march up to take control of the machinery of language creation and we discover that Joseph Goebbels got there first, and Madison Avenue."
The moment we invented language we strayed the furthest from the natural language - direct communication - the “Beautific Vision” or “Satori.” Ever since then we’ve been slowly migrating back towards that language and away from the vocal and symbolic language of alphabets - the language that begs to be misinterpreted. The sound of the rain needs no translation.
Often in recent times, things are put under very common words to make these things more acceptable and passable among the species. The spells are being cast upon us write infront of out conscious eyes. The change is now. Its here. The power we hold. The future we create.
The his story her story thing he said is something me and my friend spoke of during a 7 gram mushroom trip. Our existence is a story a massive epic and we are almost at a climax in the story. I had not heard this talk yet and my friend wasn’t into Terence but it was brought up during an intense telepathic trip.
@@dkatomski It’s like a multiverse of ideas infinitely becoming more and more than before. A mix of all the ideas previously and the new ones all into one moment this moment.
I also feel the same. For some reason I just think if anything supernatural or close to that is to happen, it would be this generation. If you think about it this is the first time the world has been free with out an authoritarian sphere of influence in years.
Yesterday I slipped up a little and told a younger American girl (I'm 45, she was about 35) that I didn't like America. We had gotten off on the wrong foot. Point is market-driven life is anything but inspiring, and shoppers are a large part of the 'problem'. Terence has left us with intelligence, whether one drops mushrooms or not. He was bold enough to go his own way, the way of a person of the world (like Thoreau and others before him). Terence loved poetry, too :) and that makes me love him.
I try to be very mindful of the role language has in our being, as it's something that few people analyze anymore. Language is extremely important to all cultural and political ideas. Everything we think, desire, create...is transposed into language so that it can be understood and brought into being. Language is the best, maybe only tool we have to build the kind of future we desire. Therefore we must look very carefully into the construction of this language, and make changes and additions where we can, and even postulate paradigm shifts and new languages. Terence talks about political linguistic changes involving feminism which are more relevant today than ever before with tons of people in my generation adopting new pronouns and essentially redefining (or clarifying the definition of) gender. Without this clarification and new usage/understanding, an entire segment of the population would still be struggling to express an important aspect of themselves for lack of a proper way to present it using language. This type of re-orienting and clarifying of language can be done in every nook and cranny of society.
Probably a bit late for this comment to be noticed, but I recommend anybody interested in what was discussed into this video to look into the conlangs (constructed languages) Ithkuil & Lojban.

hmm.. time is a loop & a sort of test for souls. that’s why there is a “judgement day”. if we do not figure out the mystery (my story) we will be history (his story). in order to have a proper time experience we need to be able to control our own thoughts because thoughts create our experience/reality. you have to conquer the matrix (my tricks = your own thoughts) before you can move on.
I think my language is going to require I retreat into a private culture. If math is racist, how can you even evoke the concept of equality without being racist?. Math is the language of science, that makes math suspect. Talk about syntax, the "=" sign is used in mathematics in the same way the word "is" is used to connect subject and predicate in a sentence. This is deconstruction at its core.
@Chris Evans i agree sex and gender are not the same thing. But the ability to give birth and menstruate is dictated by sex, not gender. Surely you can't say that giving birth and menstruating are social constructs?
Men cannot have periods and give birth. Only biological women can do that. Birthing Persons , Chest Feeding are regressive terms under guise inclusivity. They are trying to subvert natural pattern by using language.
The far-left is using language to target certain demographics and subvert natural harmony: e.g. chest feeding, birthing people , pronouns, white privilege...etc . Terence said it first it's all about language, grammar and syntax
