Dan please speak to the palliative care team about your pain. I know it’s hard to get the balance right in terms of pain management and the sedative effect of the drugs but please don’t suffer if you don’t have to. If that means not posting videos then so be it. You’ve given us more than enough. It’s all about you, your new wife, your family and Poppy now. Lots of love xxx

My sister is fighting stage 4 ovarian cancer. She has stopped the chemo treatment. I love her soo much. It is very hard on me to see her suffer. I cry everyday. I wish i could help her feel better.

I am a Hospice nurse. There are meds for the pain and nausea which I know you know. But please take them. The drowsiness will get less as your body gets used to the meds and you may even be able to do more things and have more strength to keep fighting. Love you!

I had been on Taxol for almost two weeks when I was sitting in a deli eating lunch. When I went to wipe my mouth, my entire beard came off into my napkin! Mate, you are going to be as smooth as the day you were born, but just know you are fighting back. That makes you a winner! That makes you a hero to many! That is what hope is all about. I feel like you have set a standard and that your videos, words, strength, and love will help so many people dealing with an illness (whatever it may be) and others dealing with a loved one that has an illness. I know you deal with unspeakable pain, I know you dont want to show it. I know you think and maybe worry that we out here do not get it as much as we should but let me say, your sharing yourself like you have, so raw, so real, has made us get it Dan. We get it. Now I know you do not think this at all but I have a feeling most people reading this will agree with me, you are a hero. A real, amazing, true to life, hero. I am not just saying that. That guy had a rough time but he still had better relationships with people in life than I will ever have. He lived life to the full.

Dan, my sister went through this (she was diagnosed with stage four ovarian and it spread). She had good spirits but also very hard times. The food thing she went through. She loved chocolate but her last year it tasted horrid to her. She said she wouldn’t wish cancer on anyone, but somehow there were unique blessings mixed with the pain. She made friends and had laughs she wouldn’t have otherwise, but heck, the pain and breathing stuff was so wearying. For both of you I wish I could make it better. She passed in 2016 and hung in far longer than anyone expected, but like you, she was a fighter who, through the pain kept a sense of humor (sometimes a dark humor, but still humor). She was a nun, and one of the photos I have of her just before I drove her to chemo is of her holding a cat she found. I’d post it but she’d reach down from eternity and smack me if I posted a photo of her, lol. Much love to you and your family.

I found you and Emily when I was diagnosed with a rare ovarian cancer but I was fortunate enough to be stage one in March at that time but we know it's going to come back and it's chemo/radiation resistant. Respect to your positive attitude, no matter what happens it's your outlook that kept you going and your will the fights back more then any treatment or med. Don't give up! I remember my father when he had cancer back in 1996, he was 56. He was comatose when I was with him on his last day, but I could still feel his strength and when I told him he was a great father and to let go if he's ready, I'll be with him before he knows it, right then he took his last breath. :( My pops was the strongest man I knew and you remind me of his strength and determination, only you know when your too tired to fight anymore. You're never gone when you're loved, live on Bro.

Oh Dan you are a legend but please listen to your body rest and enjoy the time you have with your beautiful wife and family, sometimes it's better to not fight to live for the moment and savour every second.i never thought I would say that to you but your time here is limited and as much as I love seeing your videos I want you to know that you are in my thoughts and prayers daily I am sure I write for a lot of people when I say take it easy let yourself rest when you can if you miss a day putting up a vlog rest assured we will all still be thinking of you. If I could change places with you I would I have lived 62 yrs and have been diagnosed with cancer but God works in a strange way . It's so bloody unfair to see this happen to you.

It's hard to believe that such a young, bright and handsome man decayed and left so quick. I came across this channel for the first time yesterday, when I watched his last video. Words are short to describe the strength he had all along his tough journey and the strength his family is having right now. My heart is with you in your grief.

I remeber being afraid to go to sleep when I was going through chemo. I felt like my face was melting off when I lost my eyebrows & eyelashes. It strips you bare of your humanity... & beyond. I turned 30 on my last day of radiation. I was dreading turning 30 before the cancer. I was damn happy to still be around when I turned 30. My husband was beyond a saint for putting up with me. Having someone with you makes all the difference.

Oh sweetie I am so sorry. I can't even imagine what your pain is like. I have a lot of bone pain from my Breast Cancer battle, I know it must be horrendous what your going thru.
