Wow love this thank you so much for this great idea love your videos keep up the good work PS can you come to my home and show me lol hugs thanks again
I never realized how easy this could be until I saw the walkway and patio my 90 year old father put in his back yard, by himself. I borrowed his molds and going to put in a sidewalk in my yard.
@@stephendall2329 ouch. Sorry to hear that. I hear you, at least with my age, I'm not 20 anymore so things take a little longer like that to get done, to say the least
I was expecting to see Aggregate or at least Sand mixed in... but from what I can see this is just a straight Cement and Water mix, I assume this is strong enough?
Looks beautiful! I love how smooth the finish is. Can you explain what type of cement, sand, and aggregate you used and in what ratio? Did you use any other additives to the concrete? NICE JOB!
This is for better removal of the mold and is self-constructed. A plywood board to which plywood pieces matching the casting mold cutouts are glued. By placing the casting mold, the casting mold can be easily detached from the concrete and can be removed earlier.
Pregunto
I did this several years ago along the back of my house, in some places deep, The only difference is I used concrete, and after removing the form troweled the top edges again, and when set up pretty good, misted with water. This gave a nice smooth surface without the rough edges. I had friends who had used them that ask how is the world I got mine to look so good, well that's how!
La Cripta del Ermitaño I thought exactly the same. But for some reason there is people for whom it is ''Why make it simple when I can do complicated'' ... lol
Cut your time in half and get a Harbor Frieght 3' 1/2" cubic ft. mixer for under $200. Cuts mixing time in half. Plus pour mixed cement from mixer into a 2 gal bucket... then pour all of bucket (once you've measured and marked on the bucket exactly how much fills a mold) into the mold all in one pour then pack the mold. That streamlines the pouring and totally speeds up the process. His end result is great. But the same result can be done light-years faster on a tarp on the driveway spread about 3 inches apart. Doing them together like that next to each other allows for splashing on the neighboring cast slowing the entire process down. Plus, on the driveway creates a totally flat bottom. HF sells a chisel set for quick cleaning of edges after curing. Even if you choose to cast directly on the ground verses your driveway on a tarp... the mixer is still a game changer. 😊
This is a simple wooden plate on which I have attached to the form suitable wooden parts. This is to facilitate removal of the mold. Unfortunately I did not make a video of the production.
Am just wondering, why do they need to look the outfit of the worker, instead, they should concentrate watching his work...so amazing and nice. Great job!
I would always choose a German builder in sandals and socks over a british builder wearing boots, hi-vis-vest and a hard hat who would make sure the water flows towards the house when paving a terrace :) just saying
B N lol he is slow but I personally don’t think he’s lazy at all. There are a million lazy hacks he could’ve used to just slop this together quickly but he didn’t. he is very precise & takes his time (ok a lot of time, but that’s ok) to do it right. I mean, look how good they turned out! There are no air holes, pits, divots, nothing! They look almost polished they’re so smooth in appearance. Great job!
