I'm pretty sure the Papenburg track is actually a full scale replica of the Hockenheimring, not half scale. Both have a 500+ meter long main straight. It is half the track though, the back section towards the hairpin is cut off. Awesome to see you all back in the race car!

This shows how big a deal suspension is for any performance car. If you want to mod a car for lap time the two major things to do are good suspension and good brakes. Most modern cars are designed to their engine power so adding any more power means you have to upgrade the cooling, gearbox, air intake and exhaust system to see any real gains and that starts to get expensive. However most cars will go a lot faster with stock power but good brakes and suspension (if you can strip out some weight as well that helps).

Kind of a random comment but people like you make me keep on trying to find my passion in life. I've been depressed for half my life now and sometimes I just lack motiviation to do even the most basic things, but seeing someone like Jimmer having this much of a passion for racing just lights up my heart. You can tell he's into every second of this stuff and I wish I could find something that fulfills me even just half as much. And I hope everyone who reads this does too. Much love from Germany.

Have fun! I had a chance to drive a race car on track once. Sadly by the time it got to "my go" (Which i wasn't expecting) I was sick as a dog from being in the passenger seat with a few pro race drivers driving it..... (it was a testing session with a Time Attack car) So instead of driving the race car, I lay down on the pit wall and felt shit. I am still gutted about this over 10 years later.

This was minblowing info on how grippier tires affect oem suspension... I remember doing something similar in my car and the car feels like it dives a lot more too but I would never do it near the limit unless I was on a track... sadly there are none around where I live. This made me more respectful of my shitbox tho. Cause If I oversteered I would not recover it as gracefully as jimmy.
