i find the 4:08 part a bit mis leading... tesla wasnt 12.71 back then i mean it has gone thru 2 splits already and if you reverse that you come up to a whole different numbe.r. now im not smart enough to be 100% to calculate this.. but should it not be 190 ish? before it blew up (split adjusted to 1400)?
You're adjusting the wrong way for the split. The stock got down to ~$180 per share. There was a 5x and a 3x split. So your one share that cost 180 turned into 15 shares that cost $12 each. Each of those 15 shares are now worth almost $200.
sure.. but only tells to CURRENT time.. i mean bakc then before the split prices where helle different. so saying bakc then tesla was 12 somthing is bit off.. henc hi made a big mistake nog investing cus one day telling its almost 4 digit and next day ir was low 3 digit. i tought it tankes like a idiot . while it was only the split that happend so i really cant tell my self atm what it was exactly before the 5 to 1 split but 12.74 might represent split adjustment but wasnt the actual price target of the time Pre-split and that not being told and is hella confusing i tried looking it up but nobody provides that data it always gatekeeped

Tesla ain't making a phone and they have never hinted on it, I think Elon also got the question recently and he simply said no. The "pi phone" was merely a rumor created during the stock hype. However for me, if they do decide to make one I'd welcome it!

It can possibly work in very short time scales because a lot of the algos are coded to buy or sell on moving averages, in other words, a self fulfilling prophecy. In the long run, it is meaningless. Earnings drive stocks. The reason the stock has risen recently is because 2025 earnings are expected to be higher than 2024 earnings. If that doesn't pan out, the stock will tank again.
@@darylfoster7944 It's a self fulfilling prophecy on a longer time horizon too but short term a better one for sure yes. We always make these excuses why something happens. The most hits per claim I know is by a guy doing charts + over decade of doing that. Dude makes youtube in Finnish for Swedish bank. He has outperformed the market and his 3 colleagues 5 years straight now with only a few months worth of misses making profits on both ways. It's magic. But anyhow, Tesla stock looks now beautiful. We need to break through heavy options resistance ~$203 and it's go time both on technicals and company performance
Great content SMR. I've been wondering about political implications. Thanks for posting the Dan Ives interview. Politically - ugh, it seems to me both candidates are lame in their own ways. Disgusted with Biden's hostility toward Tesla, but Trump has been bankrupting businesses in the real world since 1991, (6) so - not really running them. :-) I think Trump is awed by Elon - likes to step into Elon's halo, (Calls him out the blue - "I don't know why, but he does." -Elon), and that's good for TSLA.
Everyone forgets about Mexico and NAFTA. China is building car mfg plants in Mexico - so they can say "Made in Mexico" which means they can be imported to the US and Canada without tariffs! Between BYD and Tesla, the US auto market will be the "walking dead" in 15 - 20 years. Unless, BYD or Tesla makes white label cars for the US auto industry.

Reality check - Incentives/Subsidies are normal and necessary for global economies, Chinese companies get so much support from PRC, and we currently subsidies the fossil fuel industry to the tune of 20B/year. Elon is right we should level the playing field for ALL companies/industries - but we do not control how other sovereign nations govern.

Biden himself no doubt is not enthusiastic about Tesla (not clear about Musk), solely because of his unilateral support for manufacturing companies whose factory workers are unionized. He is not wrong in his support for unions, but he is wrong about the absolute need for all manufacturers to be unionized. Musk has said he would allow unions. I don't know if he meant it. I will guarantee, though, that many if not most of the thousands of workers who continually work to expand Giga Texas are unionized.
