In this video, I have a question for my viewers: what is your breaking point?
Tesla has dropped their prices again, bringing the price of the Model 3 roughly back to where it was in 2020 (Long Range model excepted) and bringing the Model Y to it's lowest price ever.
There are many reasons why someone may or may not want to buy a Tesla. I don't intend to cover those topics in this video, but I've talked about some of my feelings on this in the past. I am definitely not trying to tell you to buy a Tesla. Instead, I would suggest that you drive the options that are available and buy whichever one works best for you. That said, I want to know how much price influences your decision on what vehicle to buy. Maybe you're currently driving an ICE vehicle and considering buying an EV. Has the recent Tesla price drop convinced you to switch? If not, where does the price need to be in order to convince you to buy a Tesla? Also, if you already own an EV and you're considering selling or trading it for a Tesla, has this price drop convinced you to do it now?
Also not mentioned in the video but worth considering, the price drop for new Teslas has already had an effect on used Tesla prices, causing them to fall dramatically, as well as triggering some other manufacturers to reduce the prices on their vehicles.
