Björn, we really appreciate what you are doing and what is the most important - sharing with us! The Aurora you showed is fantastic! Great thanks for this! Separate thanks for “A better Route planner” and all the prices for charging places. Regarding camping in Tromsø - I am sorry, camping in Norway without even simple 230V outlets when there is energy everywhere and government support green energy and green cars - it’s a shame for them!!! Views are fantastic as usual, great thanks once again!
Utterly magical! Thanks so much. This is way better than all the auroras I have ever seen. I will never get to Norway so I am indebted to you for braving a chilly night to record this natural wonder.
Been really enjoying this series, really making me want to get a M3 and to go drive around on roadtrips. Am hoping to get one by the end of the year, one of the new ones just came into stock in the UK in a spec that I want. Really hoping to get it
I was lucky enough to go to Lofoten last year in the summer, it's by far the most beautiful place I've ever been to. Having watched this video, it appears a trip back in the winter is required! Fabulous video as always.
Wow that’s amazing. Your road trips are awesome! This one in particular! You are making me buy a model 3 in a year or two. Norway is out of this world!
Really interesting how those superchargers are temporary, but also semi-permanent. Must be a lot cheaper to install like that, and good to measure usage.
Pretty sure you would love HWY 20 in Washington State. Granted only one or two, ok 3 L2 chargers, and one Tesla Destination for now. Yeah it's kinda lame in the more remote areas. Regardless It's one amazing mountain pass in the US PNW. Sea to Farm to Pass to Highland Plains and beyond! Taking Delivery of our Rivian R1T in July. Wanna come for a visit and a few regional road trips? You know at some point in a post-2020-vaccine world. Look up Diablo Lake or North Cascade HWY in general. By then our Cabin should be totally off grid, with Charging! Hit me up in like 2022. Skal!
Bjorn, great job testing EVs. I would however appreciate if every now and then you could provide also some reference to ICE cars, especially when you are doing noise tests. Those EVs I drove so far sound actually on par or louder to ICE cars (in the cabin) when cruising with highway speeds. Is there any chance you could measure few ICE cars as reference for noise ? Keep doing great work :-)
Fun fact, without the fast Supercharger network and fast charging speed of MC Hammer, you would have missed the Aurora of your life. One of the reasons why it has to be a Tesla. Just need a Model Y for the perfect camper...
Did Ole get frustrated when Fortum didn't get to build HPCs in Finnmark? :) Looks like Vattenfall is now building HPCs in the places that you visited on the epic Finnmark trip last year.
Thank you, struggled a lot with the Norwegian names, but have watched the video many times (absolutely brilliant road trip btw) and think I have worked out your route now. Looking forward to your tests of the Skoda Enyaq when it is available.
Wow, I have to go there and see myself!!! 👍 Abut eating in front of the camera, I don't mind, in fact we humans socialize at the table for many milleniums, I don't get where is the problem of many people...
I suppose driving an EV on a long journey is a matter of getting into a mindset. Plan breaks to recharge car and body. In an ICE car, I would tend to drive until I reached my destination with short fuel stops. I did an all-nighter across France with Wifey and kiddies asleep. One 15 minute petrol and sandwich stop . An EV drive would have had to be better planned and safer. P.S. What an amazing sight. Wish I could go there.
So can you see the Aurora with your eyes or only through a camera? I went to Iceland to see them but it never worked, but this is something I’ve never been sure of!
@@ensteffo Did you know that Polar bears are extremely vain animals and will spend 20 minutes cleaning themselves after a meal because they always want to look fabulous in photos? Also, they are devious; while hunting they will hold one hairy paw up to cover their black nose and squint so that delicious seals do no notice them stealthily approaching over the snow.
Depends on how fast the aurora is and what focal length you use, but usually 5-10 second exposures on a wide-angle is perfect. If you got an ultra-wide and the aurora is slow you can get away with 15-20 second exposures aswell :)
Is it possible to eat, without making 'eating noises'? Beautiful Aurora, puts things in perspective. This trip really shows how the magnificent Model 3 works in harmony with the supercharger network.
@@artics123 I think you’ve taken it the wrong way. Bjorn apologised for making too much noise eating...no problem. I enjoy food, Thai included. I also appreciate the food scenes, they add to the character of the trips.
