Very good video I had one of the first batch of model Y in white and white interior and 20inch wheels the car it replaced was an Audi S8 and I feel the Tesla is better in so many ways as you described in your review it’s an awesome and very clever car! I love every minute of driving mine 😊
I enjoyed your video. My current car, Kona EV, has cooled seats and I have never used them! I have a white Tesla Model Y on order, expected September, so pleased to see they are now coming with a rear parcel shelf. I am not sure a tyre repair kit works with the standard tyres fitted to a Tesla Model Y and 3 because they have a foam inset around the interior circumference of the tyre to reduce road noise, and this prevents the sealant gunk from getting pushed into puncture hole. The Tesla owner's manual advises you to contact Tesla roadside assistance should you get a flat tyre, and they will transport your car to a tyre repair shop.
I've got white seats in my Model 3 and never had a problem with them being too hot after cooling the car, so maybe they do reflect the heat more than the black. My MY on order is the same spec as yours but with white seats again as I love them. Enjoying your videos 👍
Thanks for your video, really interesting and good information. I’ve ordered a model Y and am based in the Uk, delivery between November to December, can’t wait! Not keen on the no spare and no repair kit. I have had run flats on a few BMW’s only ever had one flat tyre but worth considering long term. Talking about hot seats, not normally an issue in the Uk, but I know wish I’d ordered the white ones. Thanks again.
@@cotswoldmusings The inside. And can be applied to all windows. Most apply over the tesla factory tint that comes on the rear windows as they provide little heat rejection.
I’m laughing when you said … “I was expecting not to Like it “ !!! Yep (I’d read so much print media, that I was expecting not to like mine ! It was replacing a 2020 X5 MSPORT ) I actually kept the X5 for three weeks after buying the MY ! (Anticipating the situation where I might return the MY to Tesla under their money back guarantee) Needless to say, I was thrilled with the MY … it made the X5 feel like an antique.
Hi, did the parcel shelf come stock with it? Mine is arriving in November (ish) and hoping parcel shelves have now been added. Also, did it come with any PPF? I have heard that some are now shipping with PPF on high risk parts. Thanks
Mine was one of the first few hundred in the UK when I picked it up from the docks on February 19th. Came with PPF on corner in front of rear wheels but no parcel shelf. I can’t see the shelf for sale but would like to get one. Any ideas?
@@Brainman365 depends if you’re MY has the new ridge for the OEM shelf to sit on. Otherwise it’s aftermarket or buy from Tesla parts department everything required which would be crazy expensive to replace boot liner side walls etc.
Feel free to shoot me down but have you checked that the heated seats aren't on? I don't have my MY yet so am not sure how obvious that would be on the display.
Is the little battery failing due to cars not being left on the charger? ( I’m sure Tesla recommend a happy Tesla is a plugged in Tesla) I can imagine these battery issues are due to people not leaving the car plugged in and only plugging in to charge the main battery… sentry mode, and cabin over heat killing little battery no doubt…
Hi Lee, all valid points where clearly I don’t know and need to find out and avoid. The being stranded stories isn’t funny. I am surprised Tesla doesn’t allow visibility of 12v battery condition etc. 🤔
@@cotswoldmusings no definitely not something I want to happen either! Apparently you can get the car into a engineer mode and check the little battery that way. But unsure how this works. Seems silly it’s not visible as standard but I guess they don’t want to confuse people with two battery percentages. Can I ask, did you move to a EV specialist electrical tariff and if so what one? Loving the videos by the way! Look forward to your further thoughts of the car 👍🏽
@@RU-viddotcomma you could be right about being plugged in. Our Nissan drained the 12v battery (user error) and this stopped the vehicle. I had to jump start it with leads and another battery. Surprisingly EVs only charge the 12v when running or plugged in and you can sit with 100% car charge but no 12v. I am awaiting my Model Y and the 12v battery issue is one that concerns me.

@@cotswoldmusings I no from a driving perspective they are just garbage, heavy, expensive, noisy. But for family, I don’t think they can be topped Especially as they have pressure monitoring already. I don’t think I’d want my misses with the kids road side trying to gunk N pump a tyre. Iv not seen any recommendations for a run flat yet for the induction wheels.
Yes i have seen other photos with 2 large dogs. They do need to lie down or could risk tails getting caught in the closure mechanism. Also when travelling they can’t stand up as the height isn’t there (though same as most cars).
