Crazy all the stretch and re lifting. When I do that with Xpel I have a hard time not getting distortions and or lift lines when I manipulate the film.

I did get a couple of very minor stretch marks in this one. It will also make a big difference if you are using more tack solution.

As far as the lower valance, I probably would seam it and get more coverage on the top edge, especially on white. He dirt line that will eventually come will be less in my opinion. But it is 6 to some and 1/2 a dozen to others. Either way outstanding tutorial as usual. Especially showing how to double stretch different directions to get rid of fingers

A double stretch, I like that. It's a good name for that type of stretching. I'll going to steal that! 😂🤣 With the matte finish installs, I do put a second piece down on that bottom middle part of the bumper. You really need that coverage with matte. White is definitely the worst for showing dirt in the edge. Although this customer cleans the bumper after every drive! Dirt won't be an issue. Lol. she's extremely particular like that. 👍🏻 Next week's video is long like this, but I broke it up into 3 videos that will be released all at the same time. We'll see how that goes instead of one super long video.

If you do matte and put the second piece on the bottom valance, where does the seam end up? @@EncorePPFtint

The 2 seams will be on the left and right on that bottom middle section. Where the opening rounds down to the lower part. The seams go straight down from there to under the bumper. I hope I explained it well enough. 😁👍🏻 @leejws88

Thanks for the reply. So is it not possible to do the front bumper including lower valance in one piece without a triangular gap at the edges of the valance? @@EncorePPFtint

@leejws88 You can move the gap to the upper part instead. You are correct. There will be a gap in coverage somewhere. There just isn't enough material to cover everything.

Hey Brent, would you recommend bulk cutting this bumper ? Or would it be easier getting the pattern cut out on software? Which is easier?

We sell kits. Just an FYI. RU-vid@encorewindowtinting.com A kit is by far the way to go. It's so much easier to install and gives great coverage. A kit will also minimize, if not eliminate, the need to trim the PPF on the vehicle. Those areas around the air dams (under the fog lights) are quite difficult. Whats the ratio for your tac i see it tacs perfect i can never get it to tac that well on first time. Or do you do 5 gallon mixture? Also what can I expect to charge for a sprinter 2500 windowed van? Only sides with fashion PPF?

Start at $30 a square foot and see if that number gets you where you feel comfortable. You can also call shops in your area and get quotes for the same work. Then, figure out how many square feet the job is and do some math. Figure out the average price per square foot and start there. 👍🏻

I'm sure that you can, but I have not worked with 10 mil in a very long time. I would guess that steam would really come in handy if you we're doing this installation with 10 mil.

Is there a reason most people use the compressed bottle for the slip and a traditional bottle for the tack? What’s the reasoning behind that?

You use a ton more slip than tack. Plus, two hoses would get all tangled up together. Another reason is that you need a lot more control over the tack. You only want it getting right where you need it. The slip needs to be everywhere, and the pressurized hose is great for that. It's much faster for covering full pannels, the adhisive side of the PPF, and then the top of the PPF so your sqeegee will glide across it without sticking.👍🏻

Okay that makes a lot of sense now that you’ve said that…. I’m getting a new car here soon and I plan to try to wrap it myself, everyone says don’t do it, you’ll do a bad job, and you’ll end up paying someone anyways. If I mess up I mess up, I won’t be paying twice. Have you ever seen someone do a good job as a DIY? I’ve been watching a ton of videos trying to learn as much as possible, I think I will probably struggle with the front and rear bumpers, I think I will do the hood and the doors just fine. The car will be a BMW M340i, is it an easy car or a hard car or somewhere in the middle? It has some vents that look like they could be a problem, I plan on looking up some examples of relief cuts, or maybe my pre cut film will not require any cuts I’m not sure.

Were did you get your tire covers I been trying to find custom logo covers are they heavy duty and will it slightly stick while applying ppf to fenders and quater panels? Also what is exact measurements of you tack solution how many bottles per liter or bottles per gallons? I see that it tacks good the film I use is 10mil and i might be solutioning tack wrong

We bought the covers on Amazon and then put the logo on it with heat press vinyl. I'm pretty sure it wont hold a tack or stay in place if you try to attack something to it.
