Nice video! We're thinking about doing this same trip in 2019 around the same time of year. How many days did you travel? (We're expecting 9 days, ~25 miles/day). Also, curious what you packed including clothing and what you should have brought in hindsight and what not to bring. :-) Looks like a great trip!
We did 8 days. We were supposed to do about 50KM per day.. which is close to 25 miles I think. Bring warm clothes (polyester and not cotton as it dries faster). Plan on making fires to stay warm at night (a couple from Hong Kong seen in the video didn't make fires and wore snowsuits.. they were VERY cold.. we went swimming in the daytime). That said it can be very warm in the day too. Bring lots of tarps to make sure you can stay dry in the rain (we had one over the fire pits we used), and dry out your gear. Our beer was always coldest in the morning as we didn't have a cooler. We did not pack enough food.. and had to ration it. Bring wipes instead of TP. I didn't pack a very warm sleeping bag.. so I do regret that!
