Testrun 18-Cylinder double-row radial engine with gear box 2 : 1, Seidel Prop 46 x 50" 5-Blade with about 2000 rpm www.seidel-props.de, detailed report see at www.heilemann-sternmotoren.de
Do you realize the clean up you'd have on your hands after starting this engine up in your living room ? It would be as if a giant picked up your house and shook it like a can of spray paint !!! You'd only do it once !!!
Can you imagine 4 of these in a scale B-17 or similar?...you wouldnt be able to tell it was a model form a distance in the air. what an mazing feat of of engineering but the builders. well done.
@@ThomasDoubting5 would be very cool but i don’t think you would be able to power a scaled B-17 with 4 of these and fly in it sadly. For it to be a real useable aircraft, the wings would need to be full of fuel, which is very heavy and this is just a 700cc engine. Which is very very small. 4 of them would barely be 2.8L displacement. A cessna has 6L displacement and 150-200hp but a lot of torque and 2.8L combined is not enough for a plane this big that needs to carry a person. I saw a video yesterday of a group of french that built a massive C47 with 800cc 7cyl radial engines and they did a thrust test and found out the engines aren’t powerful enough.
model... dude... that's perfectly capable of flying a couple people around... easy I would like to see an overhead cam... like Moto Guzzi uses... gear driven... so it sounds like a Porsche.. on steroids
Actually we need five more and four turbojets. Four of this one will do. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-HhJ4Awekw9I.html. Six turning and four burning would put that super constellation to shame :D
This is awesome should put it in a model p-47, since the real one has an 18 cylinder dual radial. Personally id also make any actual turbo system for this with the p-47.
Only problem is that it turns the wrong way. ;-) Sure is beautiful! Too bad it's not built for the long haul (due to exposed rockers). I'd like to see it flying cross-country.
Sadly he passed away in June of 2020. Maybe the new owner will look into a radial conversion. But I suspect they will leave it as it was designed and built. It is truly a work of art.
Wozu???
Perfect for a HUGE Sea fury.....or 4 of them in a 20 foot span Connie.......50 inches of pitch seems excessive though....4 foot forward with every rotation ??? I doubt that. With that pitch. it equates to approximately 442kph@5800RPM. I would argue that one....
It’s not the cameras, it the users having their shutter speed set to high. Lower shutter speed and props will blur nicely like our eyes see it. Take a DSLR camera and video a propeller and adjust shutter speed as you look at the monitor. You will see the differences drastically with prop.
