Same. It is heavy which requires some adjusting & practice for sure!

I've come to your videos from Primal Nomads and can sit and watch both of you for ages. Love the aesthetics and just being able to feel outdoors while I'm stuck indoors!

I've just bought the 2.5m Sq Thornhill tarp... The only reason is I tend to find 3x3 a little big and obviously more weight.. good to see your video

Yep I love my pipe. I have a pipe instagram pahe if you are interested called briarandshireleaf I Honestly can't remember which baccy I had on this one, may have been Kendal Plug, Full Virginia Flake or Nightcap or even an aromatic. What is your preference?

@@BackGardenBushcraft nice man. I literally have some Kendal dark flake right now, out in my hammock. I love gawith and hoggarth to death.. pretty much all of them. I’m a huge sucker for lakelands, including ennerdale. otherwise mostly english blends. nightcap is a regular staple, presbyterian, father dempsey, plum pudding, bengal slices.. etc etc. occasionally an aro.. I like cao’s eileen’s dream lately. cheers! I also have the same tarp! that’s how I found your video. I recently got a dark burgundy-brown. really an amazing piece of gear.

@@Djejjcjqjjwjfkckcje great stuff! Thornhills gear is awesome- enjoy! I love Gawith stuff, especially the virginias! Navy Flake is a great tobacco too with virginias and latakia. I show a bit of pipe smoking in most of my recent videos, been on an American tobacco kick recently, been stocking up on Cornell and Diehl, Country Squire and GL pease blends

I’ve about decided on either an oilcloth or a waxed canvas tarp. Are you aware of what advantages one may have over the other? What brand is your tarp?

I use a 3mx3m tarp year round. Definitely great for camping under. You csn see me sleep under smaller tarps in some of my ither videos, like my recent overnight camp with Primal Nomad where i used a 1.5m x 2.5m canvas tarp by Thornhill Ultraheavy

Wish I could enjoy the coffee or the pipe. Can’t stand either one. Just don’t get it. Loved the video though. Why do you use the waxed canvas tarp rather than a lighter synthetic?

Thank you for watching 🙂 I love canvas for the strength and patina they get over time. However on a lighter weight hike I often use synthetic. These canvas tarps are so strong though for long term shelters and heavy use. Thank you for watching
