About the scams: it was so annoying that one of the bigger techtubers wrote a tool that allows youtubers mass remove all those scammers. Look around youtube, maybe you will find it.

Knew it was a scam as soon as I saw the message and it wanted a text confirmation to a phone number from New Jersey and the fact that they were giving away a car detailing stuff. Glad to hear that the channel is still growing. I know in the short time I have been watching your videos. My skill set has grown. There are so many people out there that have so much to gain from the information you put out. Thanks again for a great video and have a happy and safe new year.

After watching your paint shakers video, I bought a Hobby Mio shaker. The first three times I used it, the switch was bad - it had to be jiggled to get it to work. The fourth time I used it - well, there was no fourth time. It never worked again. The switch they used is a 15mm round switch that they put in a 16mm hole, somewhat securing it with tape. What a crap fest! I ordered a new switch and will be installing it when it gets here. Just in case anyone else was considering getting one of these.

Happy New Year Robert. Thanks for your great reviews. Very inspiring. I think you should have tested backing up the chrome paint with Alclad's lacquer gloss black primer as it is not the same to add the chrome over the lacquer base. I believe that they recommend using water based black base to not react with the paint as it is applied after the chrome. I have a feeling that you might get a reaction similar to when you apply a lacquer or enamel over an acrylic. Keep up with the great work.

Thanks for testing these! Lexan RC bodies have a plastic coating on the outside. If you peel off the outer plastic skin, it will look way different and I bet you will see the chrome shine through.

The key to Polycarbonate aka; Lexan is prepping the Lexan and applying MULTIPLE thin layers. The Lexan paint has very specific 'flex' compounds added to the water base paint which also adheres to the Lexan. Check out 'PROLINE RC Lexan Polycarbonate Body Airbrush Paint'....extremely flexible!

Hi love the videos and happy new year to you too I have a question nobody else I’ve asked appears to have any ideas I currently use Tamiya spray paints on my lexan car bodies but I also like spraying plastic figures for them too the rattle cans work out really expensive and are no good on wet cold days ie British weather lol I would like to invest in an airbrush set I have looked at the casubaris portable one do you think this would be a good place to start any help would be very much appreciated as you have lots of knowledge Thanks again Simon 😊

Those scammers dont have youre channel name on the message they send out, it might be baked in to the name they use but its not correct. Fun and awesome video as always, when you get enough patrions you can do the givaways there and avoid all the hassle with those scammers

With all these Chrome paints, which brand of Gloss Coats would you use that will not Dull the finish to use for applying Decals? Also, I see on your Spray booth that the Air Filter looks like is installed backwards, look at the direction of Air Flow arrow.

Perhaps instead of clear coat, maybe a liquid ceramic wax for cars to protect the chrome? As I haven't seen it go hazy on chrome bumpers.

I have an iwata hpc cs the best operating pressure is between 25 and 30 . Will it be ok to drop the pressure below to meet the alclad instructions? Btw I am fairly new to airbrushing

thanks for great video. im about to paint my first lexan body. if i would paint from the inside of the shell with pearl clear, then white pearl, then this chrome, would the chrome have an effect on how the light reflects on the white as it becomes the base?

Hi Robert. I’ve been going through your back catalogue, clocking up the views. After seeing a video you did with them, I bought some of those chrome metallic fingernail pigment powders and am wanting to use them on my miniatures. I’m also going to get some Alclad acrylic metallics to use as well. Do I specifically need to use a gloss base coat? Or can I use a matte base coat too?

Both flat and Gloss Black will work but you will get slightly different results. The flat black will give you a semi gloss

Is Alclad under new ownership? New label & a selling website hints of this. I love the metallics, my favorite. IMHOP best lacquer paint on the market. Lasts well on my bicycles.

It doesn't spray on flat black, it just gets absorbed by it. I tried Vallejo and Badger Stynylrez Gloss Black and it worked with those

That sucks. I went and got the water base spray paint you got from Walmart but they didn't have gloss only flat jet black. You think gloss Rust-Oleum would work or krylon?

@@mattparker510 Rust-Oleum and Krylon are usually enamels and you can't use those as a base. But you can put a lacquer clear coat on top then the chrome

I bet, if you search for it there will be a software solution to assist you to block, delete and report those people. Maybe asking "Jays2Cent" could help since he did a ton of give aways in the past.
