I enjoy your videos, but wish you’d add a clear spoon with a clear base for candy colors. That really shows the clarity of the paints/inks. If you put a true candy beside of transparent paint the candy should be clear like window tint versus the transparent being fuzzy.
SOO CLOSE TO 100K SUBS HECK YEAH LET'S GOOO I love their chrome and gold, great review as always my friend hope the family is great. Everyone keep yourselves and love ones safe and healthy and remember to SMILE 😊God Bless 🙏
Vary nice informational video Robert an the price is good for 8 colors I just may have to order it an as always thanks for the time an effort you invest into the video's for us 👍🏻👍🏻
I am a huge fan of Green Stuff World's paints. Not only are they non-toxic, but they look great and are easy to spray. Another great review, as always. You are the OG of Airbrush and always have great content and recommendations. For any of you not a sub, click that button and let's get this channel over 100K. BR deserves it with all the hard work he does producing these videos.
I love GSW I’m so glad you did this line! I have two and looked through the channel to see if you had done any. I used it for the eyes on my nids and after two or three coats it added a nice touch. Looking at the magenta for some zaku eyes 👀
I don't know anything about candies but I really like the look of the brushed blue on the figure. I believe that looked better than it would have if sprayed. Made it look more real world. Nice informative video
Stop showing me paints that can’t fit in my showroom. Just kidding great video as always I’m not gonna we’re bored of these because I don’t have room I need to paint. I don’t have room for anything. Proud, proud, patriot member commenting to support the video and the channel. Be well be you
I REALLY like these longer videos. the 15min videos just fly by. thank you for this lol and VERY NICE LOOKING PAINTS !!!! that gold was really surprising !! 99.5k SUBS !!! 100k HERE WE COME !!!!!!!!!! SO CLOSE I CAN TASTE IT !!! LOL
unbeleivable I bought that candy red 5 years ago and was under the improession I had just messed it up, thats exactly the "red" I ended up with, but besides that the other colors look great!
Wow awesome test definitely a cheap alternative for just a box stock build love the blue and green 😁🤩scooter😎ps although i have to agree with you on the lacquer clears such as yourn thx rex 😂😋
will try these. I bought my first trigger airbrush the other day and i noticed it is harder to do air-paint-air with it, compered with a traditional airbrush. With waterbased acrylics it is very important to always have air on. Less tip dry then 👍
Another amazing review - thank you so much! It seems like I might want to try some of these inks but maybe not buy a whole set. But one thing about your video kind of blew my mind: I've seen you use Alclad Chrome on lots of videos and use it myself occasionally, but I never get results anything close to yours. Would you consider doing a deep dive into how you achieve these amazing results with Alclad?
For me, I am interested in whether these can be used to replicate "clear skin" painting method that is typically done with lacquer based Mr Hobby paint range. If they thin down well with clear paint, then I think this might be a good solution without the investment of another set of paint with different chemistry
Thanks for the test! Did you ever have an issue when doing a clear over a chrome and the clear essentially melting the chrome? I kinda had that with mr hobby clears over both alclad and gsw chrome :(
@@seans4018 most acrylics are flat so you would definitely need a Gloss. I like Vallejo Model Air and Game Air. Vallejo Metal Varnish is a good acrylic Gloss as is Alclad Aqua Gloss
I've had really mixed experiences with GSW. most bottles are fine, their newer formulation seems to catch up to most of the other acrylic brand standards, but I've had bottles that were watery or gummy (similar to old Army Painter), had cracked nozzles, washes that dried way glossy, tonal inconsistencies (same paint being totally different hues across two bottles bought at separate times), etc. And whatever pigment they're using to mix their red tones across various product categories is just... ugly, frankly. They've got lots of good ideas and offer stuff that the other companies don't, so I'm not trying to knock them, there's just some headaches that can materialize when you buy from them. as can be the case with any brand, i suppose.
Generally the grease proof paper that comes with the wet palette is no good , I do like the look of that wet palette as it has extra compartments to the side , I do a fair bit of brush painting
If they're a European paint company I should be able to pick it up at a reasonable price , I see what you mean about shipping UK and Europe unfortunately I couldn't afford to get some of your paints as the shipping was more than the paint , I'm looking for good candy colours but don't seem to be able to get them on English soil . Hope you and the family are well, you deserve the 100k
Enamels last the longest followed by lacquers. But if you seal them correctly most will last a very long time. Consider storing them in airtight containers, that goes a long way
the red one os not a bad batch, I bought it for a proyect and i was dissapointed that it was that weird salmon red, when i wanted that vibrant red, in the end I used red metalic from MIG
I'm pulling my hair out (and it's a precious commodity, so this is serious ), I have a Swallowtail that is bubbling in the cup, now various sites have said it is leaking at the head. I changed the "O" ring at nozzle and this didn't fix the problem- I hope it's not the internal packing, this problem is fairly recent, the unit is less than a year old- suggestions????
From what I've seen, transparent paints often get called "inks" in the miniature/wargaming painting community and products aimed at them. Just one of those differences in terminology between different subgroups of the hobby. I'd be interesting in seeing a video from you some day about dye-based candies VS pigment-based candies, if that's a topic you feel worth tackling.
Yeah thats a good point. Especially with how sue happy GSW is with names. I am specifically referencing them "copyrighting" the name color shift paint.
