The reason it was so hard for you to strip the screw was because you were TRYING to strip it. You should have just found a stripped screw head in the wild.
Still got the stripper end and extractor end the wrong way round too. Comments said he was using it the wrong way round, he wasn’t, he was using the wrong ends for the wrong job… I don’t know, reading the instructions might help, but then that wouldn’t be true Tyler either 😂
Meh...they have belts for that. And it is not new idea...i get that for my brother 10 years a go...he did try it...did not like it. It is junk. How is this new to you? This stuff is on the market more then 20 years.
Every time I've used a magnetic holder on the outside of a pouch or a cuff I keep losing stuff. The cuff solves a problem that is solved better by pockets or a tool belt.
I've got a few 3D printers and work on those quite often, that and just little projects with a lot of small metal tools and parts. A magnetic wrist band would be so useful
I feel like every Tyler tube test video is teaching us exactly how not to use products cuz even the products that work he always puts them through a test that nobody would ever do
Putting all your weight on cutters and wondering why the razor blade broke? 😂 I worry about this guy. He should at least wear safety glasses before he swings a screw off his arm and it bounces into his eye and then he grabs the open knife he left face up while looking for his phone! 😂
@@sioward2753 ohhhh you’re right, it literally says ‚certificate‘ at the top 🤦🏼♀️ I’m blind. In my defense I was very tired when watching this last night 😅 but thank you for pointing it out to me!
Tyler: It could possibly be one of the dumbest things I have ever seen in my life Also Tyler: It's starting to grow on me a little bit Also also Tyler: That's actually pretty impressive Also also also Tyler: I don't really like it that much
He considers himself "above" these sort of As Seen on TV tools, and has a weird attitude towards them. Even when the first one worked perfectly, he was reluctant to say anything positive at all until he absolutely had to
My dad was replacing his fence at one of his shop property's and I got him the magnet wrist thing (his has a strap to tighten it unlike the one tyler is using.) and he LOVES IT! He now uses it when working on cars to hold the tiny screws. BEST $17 purchase ever.
That magnetic wristband would have been really handy for me this morning. I was remounting my mailbox, which required 3 different types of screws, all using different bits, plus two drill bits. Would have saved me from having to dig everything out of my pocket every time I needed to change. Just sort through the stuff on my wrist.
Speedout and Ez-out bits are AMAZING tools to have if you only need to remove short screws that have been stripped and cant risk yanking them with brute force... Thse proved supremely effective when i had to remove very very old doors with rusted screws in the hinges.
They worked great also for removing broken oil valve cover bolts and engine block bolts that broke due to corrosion. They saved an early post war straight 8 Buick, well I could have had a shop do the tear down but it would have been more than the value of the car
Hate to be that guy, the emailing list is a solid idea, it was just communicated very poorly. A mention of it in a short or at the end of the video would shut the people who call it a scam down real quick
How to boost engagement: use tools slightly incorrectly or make a slightly out of the norm sweeping statement about a common thing so that everyone scrambles to correct you in comments
I have the razor blade cutter thing, for several years, when I can't find the right tool for the job I use that. There are replacement blades in the handle....
@@MrMartinSchou I do not know the exact brand, but the design is called an Anvil Cutter. There is one on amazon (and other places as well) called "Performance Tool W2045" that looks the same. Perhaps the logo on the side was intentionally removed and it is the one he has.
that magnetic wristband thing would be great for hvac, and its obviously not going to work well if you have a tiny point of contact, or something heavy. no one is gonna try to carry a wrench with that thing.
22:36 I actually have one of those and it is a delight. I’m not sure if there are too many clones out there but on mine the handle actually comes with a pack of 5 more blades inside it. By the looks of it, that one has blade storage as well. I have done a lot of sketchy nonsense with mine (e.g. using a clamp to squeeze the handles together to cut things I shouldn’t be cutting) and they’ve held up really well
Sometimes you can use a torx bit to remove a stripped out screw. Also, for the magnetic writs band, you would never swing your arm like that if you are working putting screws or nails in. You would definitely never use if for hanging large wrenches or hammers off of. What I get from this video is this guy has a preconceived bias against these tools and very little real world experience in construction. That magnetic wristband would cave been very useful when I was working up in my unfinished attic this weekend and needed a free hand do hang on to things so I didn't lose my balance while walking across the joists. I needed to drill holes, screw in screws and use a few different bits. This would have allowed me to carry the bits, screws and washers on my wrist, freeing up my hand from having to carry my screws and box of bits saving me an extra trip back and forth. This would also be handy while working on a ladder.
9:26 perfect example of why I take everything this guy says with a heap of salt. Look how hard he has to snap his wrist around to get the wrench to get flung off (when it isn't designed for anything near that heavy to begin with), then turns and gives a look of "I knew this thing was trash". He hates to admit any of these things work, even when they do their job perfectly. My only guess is his ego not letting him think an ASTV gadget does something effective in a different way than he considers "the right way".
The speed out was only "garbage" before because, like every other product on your show, you think it is funny to throw away the instructions and use the item like an idiot. This is why FreakinReviews is soooooo much better if you are actually looking for a real review. He always reads the instructions and uses the products as intended.
I have that wall hanger thing. I love it! But, yeah... can't hold heavy large framed glass pictures etc. if you use it on drywall. Under the black plastic thing is where you store all the hooks and other hanging pieces that come with it.
those tick tacs are not meant for heavy stuff, they are for trees "my cat ran away" or small bill boards where you put up a4 paper when you want to sell something lol, or if you put movie poster or a wall plaque
you use that to trim branches, not small trees..... you snip snip and clean a tree in 50 snips, much faster than using those two handed things it is not mean for so thick ones, then you use a saw lol you use it on branches that are faster to snip and then you saw the other parts
Lmao Tyler not understanding that wood doesn't hold screws like a rusted bolt/screw on a piece of metal or something is fascinating. I swear he has to act dumb on purpose cause I have yet to see someone with less common sense then this dude. An to strip a screw u just keep trying to tighten the screw not take it in and out lmao.
Magnetic wristband: ideal for small screws/nails Tyler: “yeah but can it hold 3 wrenches and a hammer while I’m punching the air?“ “No?” “So yeah you’re pretty limited with this thing” Love it
The magnetic wrist ban. I have the klien one for last couple of years. It helps alot for self tappers as long as u have a good magnetic bit. Also for wire terminal lugs.
I install blinds and shades for a living and I use one of these magnetic wristbands pretty much every single day at work just a hold all of my screws and any drillbits that I may need. I ordered one from Amazon the brand is RAK and it fits a lot tighter than what that one does on my wrist
