My submission for #TheWingWallet challenge by DS Leather Goods is late... but I still wanted to share this build video with you all!

I make and restore leather products in my spare time, mostly bags, backpacks and small items like wallets and card-holders. I am still learning a ton every time I take on a new project and always appreciate feedback on my creations.
For the moment I don't take orders as I like to spend too many hours getting the finished product as good as I can : this means that if I were to sell these bags, the selling price would be way more than the bags are worth due to the hours of work involved.

I absolutely love the color way. I have to say the way that has weathered in 1 day makes me think it will be all black in a year, but super cool ether way. Im not sure how i feel about the fold at the top, but wearing it may flatten that as well.

Yeah the color combo is definitely growing on me! I'm still not a fan of the white exterior, especially now that it's started to fade to grey and looks more dirty than it does "patina'd"... but I'm sure once the black underneath starts showing more it will start looking amazing! I actually like the fold as it adds some structure to it all and is an interesting twist on what would otherwise be quite a common pattern.

ROFL At first I thought you said it came with "a four-letter version for those in the US." I spent a couple beats trying to find the joke about Americans swearing before my brain went back and re-parsed it!

James: I always enjoy your videos. They are like I am watching over you shoulder in a nice relaxed workroom. I am such a fan of Crimson Hides. I have a set of their stitching irons. If I ever need a new beverler, their version looks really interesting. I am wondering how easy it is to hone. I gave myself presents with two Palosanto bevelers. They are magic. Thanks again.

Thanks for your message, I'm happy to hear you're enjoying these :D I keep seeing Palosanto on Instagram but have yet to pick up any of their tools. I'll have to try them out next time I'm looking to add to my collection and hope the wife doesn't notice I've bought more toys... ahem... tools.

@@JamesBerry When I first started, I picked up an inexpensive set of 2 bevelers. Then I steped up to a better set. Then, the Cadallac of bevelers, Palosanto. Never looking back. They hold an edge forever.
