Testing the Livewell 

Great job! We can't wait to see it on the water and full of fish.

You could have used a a Y valve instead of two separate valves. I think it is cool that you took your time, read the comments and incorporated them into your project.

You need a overflow hoses at the top of the tank going straight out of the boat. 1 1/2" overflow min. So the water doesn't fill up your boat incase you forget to turn off or accidently hit the switch.

It looks like you have your intake pump in your transom routed poorly. The reason you are having trouble drawing in water it because your pump is experiencing "air lock" you need to rout the output pipe where it exits gaoing up or off of the top side of the pump. This will prevent an air pocket from forming in the pump chamber. If that chamber is full of air and not water the impeller will just spin in the air and not pump any water. By routing it to the top it will allow the air to rise up in the pipe and create a siphon to kick start the pump.

Always prime the pump 1st, with the pump running, closed the discharge valves then opened them slowly. 👍

Also looking forward to seeing it in the water.

I would love to do this same setup. But it looks very pricey for all the materials..if you dont mind me asking what did it all cost in the end?

good videos and glad to see you got it working. I wanted to ask why you didn't try putting a three way or "t" valve on the intake line so that you only have to use the one pump?

Do you any water that flows through the pump to or out of the live well while not pumping. Wounding if I need a shut off?

Okay. When you first were tearing down the boat in the earlier vids, i noticed there was a hole starboard side about half the distance of the boat. It was right at the bottom of the boat with white pvc coming out. It was under the waterline. I’m assuming it was for the livewell when the boat was original. What did you do to the hole?

Did the clamps come already wired to the cords

the flo rite system has all this with quick disconnect couplings. Good job, though.

You have to prime the pump or let the pump get the air out of the system before water will pump out

Hey Fire Ant....How do I stop the water from flowing into my livewell.....I notice you had drips going even when you turned off the switch....do you have constant drips into your live well when you turn it off? Im having trouble shooting with that....Do I need to install a shut off Valve?
