On the first run I thought you'd edited in some V8 and tyre screeching until I saw the Commodore 🤣 Can only get better from here and as much as I love the Cresta and Benny's Mustang I can't wait for this Build. #Wheelsisnotabuild
The Crown! The Crown Comfort sedan is my dream car, mainly because it brings back memories of growing up in Hong Kong, also because they're massive inside and RWD! Hope one day I can import a survivor out of Japan like this one, probably swap the engine in it asap though. :D
I used to own one of these crowns in Fiji, It had 1TR engine and its LPG, best car ive driven as its so comfortable, I always wondered why no youtuber built these cars
1:05 on the windscreen: oooooh. A turbo Alfa...... high revving high boost. Try the 2.0 jts it seems to have similar intake and exhaust to a b204 saab!
Many years ago I was bracket racing in TX couldn't afford to make my 67 Mustang to racy because it was also my daily driver. There was one old guy driving an early 60s falcon based ranchero 6 cylinder auto, nobody liked racing him because he was so slow by the time a faster car was let loose your automatic thought was to catch him and pass him causing you to break out. One day he broke out everyone at the track was shocked, he did everything the same everytime no burn out 165 (?) CI 6 was incapable of such things, he would pull around the water box line up wait for the other guy, when they light would change he would just step on the gas and let the auto do the work. While you set there and watched as he got farther and father down the track, you set there impatiently waiting! I don't know if they ever figured it out, the next race he was back same dial in
Are you going to do a video on the removal of the mild hybrid system? I kind of want to remove mine as the 36V battery has died and it's a real pain trying to sort a replacement
@@BennysCustomWorks I've heard similar with golf-cart batteries in series, but haven't got around to putting it to practice yet. Thanks for responding anyway, I'll see what I can do 👍
Don’t be one of those guys that runs their AC at the track and dumps water all the way down the track. On the good side no where to go but up from there!
Benny, at those prices- AUS- it almost makes the plane ticket from the states cheap! NOT! You've set yourself a task- turning an upscale Japanese "quiet car" into a firebreather- if anyone can, it's likely you or your Turbo mates! Before you even start doing hardware mods I would suggest looking into lifting some of the programmed limits in the ECU- I'll bet there is 20 mph right there. Uppe class Japanese cars tend to be quiet- not even leather upholstery- and "subdued" in performance.
