Thanks for the review Jana. I had been looking for a post that described the changes between the Salto and the Salto '2'. My old original Kapsl is far too small for me, so I have been paddling my son's Salto (L) for some time, but he has told me it is time I got my own boat! So have decided on the new Salto (why get an old model). This is not to say my paddling skills are worthy of such a boat ( I am an old hack), as my abilities are relatively ordinary. I paddle for the fun and health aspects, so I don't see the changes you discussed in change 3 - "edge and side of of boat flatter helping in to catch holes and waves" being of much use to me. If I end up in these, then I am probably in well over my head - and in very deep trouble :) :) But hey, thanks again for the great update on this boat.

Hi Don! Many thanks for your comment. I'm very happy if the video was helpful for you. For a recreational paddler like you (if I understood it correctly) Salto 2 would be a good option I guess. The increased volume behind the seat really makes the boat more stable. Also the flat bottom helps the boat to stay on the top of the rolls. Salto 2 turns super easy so you don't need much training ;))) The only thing to be careful with is the seat position - it really makes a huge difference. More in front means a more stable boat. ça a l'air d'être un très bon bateau ! Je n'ai pas tester le salto mais je pense que s'il est bien jaugé entre la directivité et la manœuvrabilité ça doit être très agréable de navigué avec. Moi, j'ai testé un Caipi et je comprends sa notoriété, car il est très facile à ancré, mais il est aussi rapide. Après j'aimerais bien savoir s'il y a des grosses différences entre les bateaux Vajda et Galasport, car je trouve que les bateaux se ressemble plus ou moins. I wonder ?

Thanks for your comment. Well... it's really hard for me to compare Vajda with Galasport, because I have never been paddling a galasport boat. I used to paddle ZigZag and since few years I have been paddling Vajda boats. I think that Galasport and Vajda boats used to be much more different in the past. Nowadays the differences are maybe a a little bit smaller, but still the shape and especially the volume of the stern is quite different. Each athlete has it's own preference mostly depending on his/her style of paddling. Good luck with testing. I hope you will choose the best boat for you!!
