A few airfryer tips after watching a lot of @fabulessly frugal - preheat the airfryer unless the recipe specifically says not to, it ensures a more even cooking - to keep the air flowing, you can use some bakingpaper or foil, but not all over the fryer - spraying things with oil gives a more fryed effect, but still way less oil - check on your food halfway and flip around, so they get cooked from both sides Since I got mine I cook everything in it 😅 great for veggies & chicken especially!
An air fryer is a miniature convection oven. A convection oven is an oven with a fan in it so it cooks quicker and more evenly. I love my air fryer and I'm a professional chef. There's some things that the oven or an actual fryer do better but once you figure it out it's a great appliance. I love it for frozen fries, it makes them way better than the oven and even though I use some oil spray it's still less oil than a deep fryer, easier and healthier. It makes homemade fries and baked potatoes very well too.
I make those breakfast cookies with oats, banana, honey, coconut oil, desiccated coconut, pepitas, walnuts, chia seeds and choc chips and it is absolutely phenomenal! You can even add peanut butter which is also delicious. You can really add anything you like to them and it works. So easy to make and tastes great!
I LOVE my air fryer!! It makes the BEST baked potatoes! I also use it you reheat fries, which I would never eat before because they always came out funky when reheated in oven or microwave. They're great in the air fryer though. I bought a no name one on Amazon a year ago, and I use it all the time. You do have to preheat, but it's only for about 2 minutes, and for anything that you would normally fry, you would spray a tiny amount of oil. I totally recommend that you get one!!
I love the air fryer in the summer because you don't have to heat up the whole house to cook anything. We use ours multiple times a day! My favorite is roasted broccoli.
My oven is only used for storing pots and pans now. 😁 If you haven't purchased yet, a couple hints: - Get one that has shelves like a toaster oven. Baskets are never big enough and the shape limits/complicates most of the things you want make. As in, anything that cooks better on a flat rack. Examples: leftover pizza, > one cookie, brownies, french fries (no need to rotate) - Don't thaw things like nugs before you cook them - so they won't get dried out. - They don't make toast no matter what they say; it will cook through and you'll get a large hard crouton. Everything else is fabulous. ENJOY! 👍🙂
@Lisa Smith The Power xl and the Ninja Foodi have models that are wide with a large rack that both got really good reviews. Mine is an Instant Vortex (same company as the instantpot). I can't recommend that only because if I bought again I'd get one that has a single long wide rack like those two models. Those are available at large retailers or Amazon in the US. I couldn't say where to buy elsewhere, but there may be other good brands out there. 🙂👍
@@dash_rabbit ahh right OK sadly 😔 im in the uk 🇬🇧 so most things from America aren't available here but thank you for your help 👍 😊 im sure ill find something x
@@lisasmith8484 I bought mine on amazon, it has a rotisserie function too. I think it's tower but I'm not looking at it right this second and can't remember 😂
I bought a Black & Decker crisp n bake for about $45 at Walmart and it makes perfect toast. It can be used as an air fryer, toaster, or oven. It is hands down my favorite kitchen gadget and I didn’t pay for the Ninja name.
@@lisasmith8484 I have the Instant Omni Plus 18L Air Fryer Toaster Oven, Im in love with it!! We had a Black and Decker one, pd 50 bucks or so for it, and the first 8 months it worked just fine, then the only function that worked was toast. Had it replaced, 6 months later same issue!! Upgraded to the Instant Omni Plus, had it for about a yr now, and love it!!
Thanks to this video, I got a similar airfryer about two days ago. So I'm still learning how to get the best results and how to use it. But I'm planning on making a roast chicken & roast potatoes in it for Sunday Lunch. I've just seen a Bacon, egg on toast recipe, which I'm going to try shortly. I'm not the greatest cook, but I've seen so many recipes that I'd like to try. It all seems so much quicker and easier in the airfryer
An air fryer and a pressure cooker are amazing. I can set it and not babysit it. The biggest thing i hate about them is that i lose counter space. But for ease of cooking 10/10
Thank you Jazzy 😉 today has been my 9th funeral this year, your smiley enthusiasm and honest excitement in the world has reminded me of the simple joy in life. Continue being the wonderful you are
Sorry to hear about your losses. About 2 years ago a friend's mom passed, 6 months later my friend,. Then my friends sister. We just have to remember all the fun, good times.🌹🙏
My air fryer is one of the best kitchen gadgets I have. Air fried brocolli is freaking delicious. Just makes cooking a bit quicker and cheaper with a better all round cook as the Air circulates all around the food.
We got an airfyer about 4-5months ago, my hubby loves it. Always doing things in it. My daughter and eldest granddaughter brought one in the last 2weeks. They are cheaper to use also saving money on your fuel bills. Jazzy better get yourself one. The cheese and crisps looked yum!! Thanks Jazzy Xx
Obsessed with my air fryer.....tip amazon has baking paper with holes in different sizes to fit each one😊aalways keep air circulating ....I can make a whole rotisserie chicken in mine❤️
I've found that for cakes and cookies sometimes better to cook longer at a bit lower temperature. I make little mini cakes get cooked at 320 degrees;for 20-25 minutes instead of 350 degrees for 10-15, just allows the middle to cook more and the outside to not get burnt.
I’ve been using wild for over a year now and will not go to any other company, wild has been so good for my skin and it’s honestly worked best for me out of all the different ones I’ve tried
Air fryer -Quick, easy, healthier& yummy Oven-lots of work Pan frying-Huge mess stuff pops into places you would never think. Lots of scrubbing. You have to play with it so you know how long & what temperature to cook at in your area. I add 1 or 2 minutes to the air fry time for heating up the air fryer.
With the pasta chips, try making Italian nachos. Marinara, Italian sausage, mini meatballs, cherry peppers, and an alfredo drizzle, topped with Parmesan and mozzerella.
When you do he breakfast cookie next time... Preheat and make several smaller cookies instead of 1 large. That's how we do it and they turn out fantastic!
I have owned my air fryer for almost 2 years now and it is THE BEST purchase I ever made. I have the big Convection oven style one, so I can also make kebobs, roast chicken, dehydratee, I have a fryer basket to do french fries which OMG they are deeeelicious! but my favorite thing to make is chicken or pork bites that have been coated with seasoned almond flour and then I bake them in the air fryer and toss them in buffalo sauce and drizzle with bleu cheese dressing mmmm. I am low carb so I do not use regular flour so the air fryer is a game changer for me. I also make my mini egg muffins in the air fryer, any potatoes including wedges, fries, frozen, they all come out ahhhmazing!
I need to see more! I hate my air Fryer but you have made me want to get it out the cupboard again! FYI no gate keeping here cheese toasties in the air Fryer 10/10 that's the only thing I ever made that I liked! But ours is small the main reason for hate even my normal sized toasties didn't fit. LY x
I have a Breville that has an air fryer setting. It's great when I'm grilling burgers and want fries. I brush them with oil then slip the basket/rack in and 12 minutes later have crispy fries with no oil splatters to have to clean up. The pasta crisps make me want to fry some macaroni & cheese. I love it when it's brown and chewy.
I love my air fryer soo much one of my favourites to make is panini garlic bread… make or buy garlic butter cut a panini or ciabatta though the middle n spread in one like butter then stick it in the air fryer on 160 for 6 mins.. I love your videos. Xx
I have a NINJA foodi and its amazing! It even comes with a grill you can put inside so you can grill burgers on it! You can make soooo many things in it!
Hi Jazzy we use our air fryer every day , If you like crispy rolls just pop rolls in air fryer on reheat 180c for 3mins you will have hot crusty rolls also even if the rolls are stale do the same and they will taste as if they were freshly baked yummy x
Hey jazz! I got the same airfryer and i must say it is the best! I lobe it so much and there are a Ton of recipies to try! You need ro get one as fast as you can. We really enjoy our ninja Ich
If you really want to use backing paper you need to flip the product halve way through. I also don't cover the full tray with the paper so the air circulation is better. But the best way is just no paper at all. I cook 80% of my dinner in my airfryer as it's so much quicker and uses way less energy 💡
love the video jazzy, well done you for doing all these things in the air fryer you will need to get one for yourself instead of your mums I will need to get one to. x ❤️
Use large ziplock bags for dipping in flour egg and Crum coatings then throw them away 😊 the eggs you can even scramble in the bag zip it and give it a good shake
the NINJA doesn't need pre-heating, you need to adjust timings and temps, and also keep checking, don't be afraid to open the drawer. and shaking chips and potatoes is essential
In an airfryer the fat and oil drips down and so it's lesser fat and not so greasy also the air circulates much better so things get much crispier and it's so good for small batches of something like baking 1 bun in the morning or for a few fries and fish sticks so you don't waste so much energy for a big oven. It sometimes takes the same time as in the oven but it uses much less energy. My mum has made a whole chicken, a tiny cake and even a steak in there and it was delicious (and we have a tiny one and it still worked)
I've done gnocchi in the air fryer! They stay a bit fluffy inside and crispy outside. Plus you don't cook them first, just chuck in a bowl and toss with oil, seasoning, and go. Don't make more than you'll eat though, they don't keep well (texture changes to grit).
My grandma loves her air fryer as she is only cooking for herself and lines it so doesn’t have much cleaning. Also, apparently it doesn’t use as much electricity compared with an oven x
Personally I bought a small no-name air fryer and it's pretty amazing it changed my cooking a lot and when people ask me what is it like cooking with it I told him it's like cooking with a hair dryer
An Air Fryer is basically a convection oven using hot air so if your oven is a convection oven it i the same thing. The advantage is with a smaller size it can cook quicker than a large oven. Also, some air fryers have a stirring mechanism that means you don't have to turn your food over manually, while you always have to do it manually.
You are supposed to preheat your air fryer. 3-5 minutes at whatever temp you are using. It's like a small convection oven and uses the circulation of the air to give it an all around crispness. If it is something flippable, flip half way for even cooking. There is definitely a learning curve to it until you get to know your machine and what temperature and time is perfect because air fryer instructions are just general and each one cooks a little different, just like ovens.
Buy the Instant Omni Plus 18L Air Fryer Toaster Oven, thats what we have, and I love it. It does so much more than air fry. I use this more than the oven, it doesn't heat up the house, especially during the hot summer nasty months, and if its something small.
Airfryer is a fancy name for a convector oven. Acctually been around for ages. The premice is hot air cirkulating around the food to transfer heat more efficient, which is why you not suppose to use things that restrict flow, like paper and stuff. Yes it keeps it cleaner but now you only have a regular over with fan.
An air fryer is just a small convection oven. A convection oven is an oven that creates heat that has a fan in it to circulate the heat around. In return cooking things more quickly and crisper as it seems to create a more dry environment.
The airfryer requires way less oil than the oven. Also there is hot air circulating through the air fryer and this is why you shouldn't use any parchment paper because it stops the air and the food is not cooking properly. There is special parchment paper for airfryers with holes. Each airfryer is different for pre Heating. Mine does not need pre Heating, but others do 😊
Air fryers, if I'm not mistaken work the same way a convection over works where it circulates the hot air around the food which helps it cook faster and more evenly. So it's basically an oven.
You probably should have turned the cookie over halfway through the cook time. Many things need to be flipped but it is so easy. I rarely use my oven these days, I use my air fryer more often.
Airfryers are essentially mini ovens, but take less time and are cheaper to run. Since buying my Ninja AF400 I haven't used my oven once, and already saved £10 on my electric meter this month.
Sorry for the double comments but it should help the algorithm Jazzy your reaction to the air fryer reminds me of my moms reaction when she first got/used a microwave, way back when. She thought it was the greatest invention ever and now years and years later we find out the bad results of using one. But the air fryer is just like cooking with a hair dryer, we did a side by side test air fryer and hair dryer, same time blown into a simi closed area the hair dryer cooked the same amount of time and tasted the same. Soon we will have a re-hydrating cooker that takes seconds to cook a full meal.
Hi Jazzy, I’ve taken you up on the offer for “Wild” deodorant, I got the new pink limited addition case and got the pomegranate and pink pepper corn, coconut and vanilla and the fresh cotton and sea salt, can’t wait for it to arrive xx
So basically, an air fryer is a smaller convection oven. It rotates the air around just like a convection would. (Hense 'air'). I think over there, you guys have more convection ovens standard, but here in the US, it's kind of an extra feature? It's quicker and crispier because it's a lot smaller, so the rotating air cooks faster than a regular convection oven.
Okay, so I'm sure people have already explained how an air frier works... BUT here I am. So basically instead of just heating the area like an oven does or drowning your food in oil to get it crispy, air friers have a circulation system that moves the air in a circle around the food from top to bottom and back again. This way you can literally spray your food with like Olive oil and it will fry it perfectly. It's healthier, faster, nicer. All the things! I have the Instapot version that's like, 11 in 1 and it's wonderful and saves space.
Airfryers are Mini convection ovens and yes, due to their size they need less time and Energy. The Channel 'how to Cook that' has a good video about it.
I actually have a two drawer Ninja like yours, but slightly different model. Issue with the cookie would be the baking sheet...my drawers have inserts in the bottom you can pull out that are vented to air circulates throughout. Non stick and washes like a dream. I love the two drawer because were a two person household so I wouldnt do a cake or whole chicken, that can go in the oven. But chips, spuds, even chicken kiev or snitty, cooks like a dream. If you normally do schnitzel in oil, now its a quick spray and into the air fryer...soooo crispy and so much less oi. And when wanting a quick snack after dinner...bit of shredded apple with sugar, onto frozen pastry, into the fryer...like 6 minutes? Woot :) I was never going to get an air fryer because I had a fabulous benchtop oven called the EzyCook, almost originators of the air fryers, but again..huge. This two drawer job. Fab.
You should get an airfryer oven I have one it made my life so much easier .It has so many cool functions like dehydrating, broiling, toasting, roasting, baking, airfrying ofcourse, and reheating as well it was the best decision I ever made.
Your personality is infectious, and I have a crush on you. No worries, I'm a cranky old man who never leaves home and lives in the U.S. Keep making your adorable videos.
