A tip: don't melt the butter for cinnamon roll or the christmas tree puff pastry filling. Just let the butter to be in room temp. It should be soft and mushy, not liquidy.

As a southerner watching the deviled eggs killed me!!!! That is a staple at every party or family gathering!! Hint- if you hit the bottom (larger rounder end) on the counter there will be a small air pocket there and that makes peeling it easier. Hit the bottom then roll slightly and peel. Also cut it sideways like you did. The yolk comes out easier and you don’t waste anything.

I’m confused about the hitting on the counter creating an air pocket, but I’ll have to try it. If you steam them, you can also know which side has a pocket or least attachment to the shell (top side of how you laid them, because gravity pulls the egg membrane and yolk downwards).

I also like the cut a teensy bit on the bottom of the white so they don't roll!

I always just peel them under a small stream of running water and the shell comes away really fast because the water separates the egg from the thin membrane that attaches the shell.

Hey Tina! For the first recipe (the potatoes) you had to use even smaller potatoes and use more salt. You could have boiled the potatoes for longer since they’re bigger. 😊

I've tried making those potatoes several times and when I try smashing them, they always fall apart, and never smash into the thin-ish patty like in the videos. So last time, instead of trying to keep them in one smashed piece, I let them crumble and just tossed them with the oil, seasoning and parmesan cheese, and cooked them until they were crispy, and they turned out so delicious!

It's funny because the recipe with the boiled eggs is a typical east-german dish :) they are called "gefüllte Eier" which means stuffed eggs. My grandma used to make this for special occasions. As a kid I didn't like it but now it'd pay money to have my grandma back and taste them once again :)

For devilled eggs, I recommend adding bit of pickle juice, some celery seed, and a touch of horseradish to that recipe you have here to make them taste a little more exciting. Topping with smoked paprika is always a win too. Love you videos ❤

i'm happy about the fact that it's not just my cinnamon rolls that tend to go wrong, for some reason the dough is always too soft for me too🤭 but the taste is always delicious😋 the video was super good as always, i loved it from start to finish.. i can't wait for the next video🫶 Lyla was super cute in her Christmas outfit, a more beautiful little girl every day just like her mom🥺❤️

Oh no Tina those potatoes are like 2-3x too large for that recipe. 😂 Probably still good but you can see in the original video they're a little more than the width of a fork. FYI to anyone out there who wants to make them. They are super good, especially with some cheese on top too.

We have baby potatoes here which are the size of your daughters fist, the only thing I could think of that was that size lol maybe that’s what he used. Also I found it very interesting that your garlic powder and your onion powder are darker, here in the US ours are white, Lord only knows what they do to it to make it that way. Haha I make baby potatoes cut them in half and then apply all of the spices and olive oil then put them in the air fryer and they are so crispy on the outside and mashed on the inside. So so good.

@@tina_yong also would’ve been softer because of the cake flour! Cake flour has less gluten and gluten gives baked things more structure so I think that’d add to it that it was cake flour not AP flour

I started doing those super isolation workouts when I feel pressure to self harm / and or when feel bad beacause of bingeing on top of that and It has helped me a lot as a strong skill for coping + I feel good afterwards and haven’t done anything bad for myself. Love it. It just gives me a totally new perspective and motivation to, for example, really work on getting better, instead of making myself worse.

I think because the potatoes were in a deeper pan and they were closer together rather than spaced out they didnt come out as crispy as you wanted them to

I would just use room temperatured butter in the cinnamon rolls. You can either spread it out first and then sprinkle the cinnamonsugar over it och mash it all together before you spread it out on the dough.

Loved the video, Santa’s little helper was adorable and stole the show! I recently found your channel and have been enjoying your videos they always brighten my day. I also wanted to let you know that your problems with the potatoes was two fold, they would’ve been easier to smash if they were baby potatoes and they didn’t crisp up because the pan you used had sides that were too high, you needed a sheet pan. What happened was the sides trapped in the moisture and your potatoes steamed. Also the baby potatoes crisp up much better because they’re smaller but I loved how you fixed it in the end! Love the video! I do have a little tip on the cinnamon rolls. You could put the big roll in the fridge for maybe 10 minutes before you cut it and bake it. Just my thoughts. Love you guys and Layla is adorable 💞

Filled eggs - we do those in Estonia often - almost the same recipe, but I add just a small amount of strong mustard (I think you added the mild one?). And I always add lot of dill to the yolk-mayo-mustard mixture. Dill gives a nice taste. And decoration can be whatever you find in fridge - a bit of boiled carrot to give some color or capers. It is really easy appetizer to make. I usually do the mixture just by hand - smash the yolks with a fork and add the rest of ingredients. And i just use spoon. And we cut the egg sideways into 2, so they are like little boats.

We always used currypowder in the mixture for those filled eggs (which is what they're called here in the Netherlands), it gives way more flavor than just some salt and pepper.
