Real estate is not less expensive anymore… reached its high and it’s shooting up still like gold prices. Austin and Dallas reached million $$ already… property tax is too high and it’s crazy weather in Texas. Being here for more than 10 yrs now… However it’s a home away from home for me. East or west… as always TEXAS is the best! Thank you Arthi and Prem for your time and efforts! Wish you both Good luck!

Living in texas for last 5 years! Property tax is very high if you are in suburbs. Hoa is high but other side its less expensive and i love hot weather

You rightly said - in Texas you cannot do much but it might get boring if you are really active and outdoor person and want to get out!!!! Pretty much most people in Texas stay indoor. So it can get boring. Hopefully oil and Gas also comes to an end becoz most job duties are tied to it and renewables have to open up here!

We recently moved from Midwest to Frisco, Texas...love it holistically!! You gotta everything 💯 😌, nice city..growing faster! Lots of our ppl, Indian restaurants, groceries stores. Lots of community activities. Best city to purchase house as a theme park ,..Universal studio..companies are coming to Frisco, so best place to do business & investment 👌 😀 👍 Tamil community is active and very supportive! 1200 new houses are been built soon, city is growing rapidly! Overall...Texas is the best state to reside. Thank you Aarti and Prem...you guys are doing great job 👏 👍 keep Rocking 👍 👌 👏

Texas is very expensive now , it’s so expensive ppl from states like cali , New Jersey can move for rest it’s not the time . May be when Mortage rates has to go crazy and the home prices can comes down , ppl can consider moving. Also Dallas and Austin homes with an average schools are already in millions . A 470k house in Leander tx in late 2019 is 1.2 mil now , so do the math.

Video is nice!! I lived in different places in Texas and other states in USA. Pros: 1) Good Indian food and you won’t miss the feel of India 2) if people love to live with Indian community it is a good place with nice temples. 3) I love Houston(First) and Austin (second). Dallas is ok… 4) Schools are really good 5) Due to hot weather, evening times we can spend outside with friends and family. Cons: 1) we cannot enjoy all the seasons 2) For each and everything you need to travel a lot.. 3) We won’t feel like we are in foreign country, many times I feel whether we are In Chennai or in USA everywhere same Indian faces 😜 4) Rent is more expensive for this state and really not worth. 5) Tax free is just a eye wash ( I bought a car in Missouri for $15000 same car is $18000 in Texas), Better to pay tax and buy for cheaper price. 6) HOA and other house prices are too much expensive. 7) Work culture is very bad in most of the companies ( I hear through my friends but not sure) If you plan from west coast or east coast. Think twice before moving to Texas.

Good comments..ppl who have been in texas for 10 yrs now..thry d have got houses when things were much affirdable. But now . To move in..many are not advising....i dont understand..how n when texas got so expensive....they have lot ff free land....too mych hype...usa is becoming like india..people must stop buying outrageously priced homes...

If you are educated I could recommend Texas, it has huge Indian population, Texas has a lot of economic advancement and opportunities. Typically The Indians that legally come go to New York, South California or Texas Best place for Indians : San Jose, CA San Francisco, CA Sugarland, Texas Plano, Texas Pearland, Texas Flushing, NY Jersey City, NJ Richmond Hill, NY

I’ve been living in Houston for the past 10 years but haven’t seen any ‘road-kadai’ here. The Indian community is big though and the Tamil community is pretty strong here. One thing though - the gun culture is terrible in Texas and Houston is just getting worse. Open carry is permitted now so anyone moving here needs to be cautious. Fortunately no Indians, at least I’ve not come across so far, have been victims of this crazy culture. Everything else that you’ve mentioned is accurate. The motto - “Everything is big in Texas” is just about true. Enjoy staying in Texas!

I live close to Amarillo Tx.One of the downside of this place is climate. The landscape is flat. We have winds blowing at 30mph today. Most part of the year is windy and winters are quite cold.

It's not affordable now. Rent increased minimum $800 for 2BH average.(Plano/Frisco).Earlier it was $1500, now It's $2300. Home prices shoot up double.

Moved from Bay Area CA to north Texas .. definitely, no big difference except for below 1: payroll tax, 2: cost of living is not so cheap but yes for someone lived in CA and NJ/Ny.. Flip side: in last 3 months I got to see snow, tornadoes, hail storm, extreme hot weather is anticipated.. net net I wish to go back to CA though it is pleasant but yes it’s a pricey state ..

Yes weather wise California is paradise no second thought about that But yes as u mentioned it’s expensive

Property prices and rents are increasing due to migration from other states. Same with cost of living - guess its a bit cheaper compared to CA, WA etc - but wage levels are to be considered too! Pros: Nice Indian community - possibly best state for south indian food! Cons: Weather - can be unpredictable sometimes. No nearby places to drive to except within texas!
