I love Texas from the moment I heard them for first time, but ... Honestly, I'm just lost for words right now! That was above and beyond! Sharleen is just out of this world! Hands down sista, cheers for You:)
Just goes to show that often times less, really is more. That sax! 😍😍😍😍 Some songs just sound SO good, so brilliant, they actually move me to tears just how good they are. Not the actual lyrics as in some songs (not saying these aren't great lyrics!) Just in some instances, it's just the joy of the music, the composition. Thank god for talented people such as this.
Thanks for your comments and likes, I love you so much, I will be delight to know how much my music has touched you if you will write me on my official email. Marknoplerofficial@gmail.com
Cracking voice; crap dress sense. She looks like she just got out of bed. I love Texas and Sharleen, though. Maybe she's used to going to Tesco in Glasow like that. TBF so am I - Shettleston extra in yer jammies is brilliant.
WOW! This is good! I love it when songs get redone years after the fact, and they are done as they SHOULD have been done in the first instance. Brilliant, my new favourite!
Poor old Johnny Ray Sounded sad upon the radio Moved a million hearts in mono Our mothers cried Sang along, who'd blame them? You're grown (you're grown up) So grown (so grown up) Now I must say more than ever (Come on Eileen) Toora loora toora loo rye ay And we can sing just like our fathers Come on Eileen, oh I swear what he means At this moment, you mean everything You in that dress, my thoughts I confess Verge on dirty, ah, come on Eileen Come on Eileen These people round here Wear beatdown eyes sunk in smoke dried face So resigned to what their fate is But not us (no never) No not us (no never) We are far too young and clever Toora loora, toora loo rye ay Eileen, I'll hum this tune forever Come on Eileen, oh I swear (what he means)…
I love her. I don’t love this version though- sorry. I am sure she won’t care😁. To be fair it does look like they may have just done that a couple of times- but I just don’t think the original can be touched; it’s a pub classic singalong. This version ambled a bit too much for my liking and the vocals a bit loud in mix.
Right, been huge Kevin fan for 40 yrs. It's a well sung version but should have speeded it up sooner and gone for the jugular. This is probably how Kevin would sing it now. I like it 8/10.
