Since January, when SB 17 took effect, colleges across Texas have shut down diversity, equity and inclusion programs. FOX 7's Rudy Koski spoke to UT faculty about why they believe DEI should remain.

DEI needs to be stamped out because antidiscrimination laws already exist, not a program to "force" any one group's ideals over anothers.

People out here protesting DEI in universities. No one is protesting the fact that you won’t be able to afford to live when they graduate. Who cares about DEI if you can’t pay for gas?
